i keep getting this error come up when finalising download and now carnt even play

could be your anti virus software blocking some file…
depending on your av software you should see it in the notifications / activities.
or you could check the launcher logs (located in the …\War Thunder.launcher_log\ folder) where it will state the exact file(s) that could not be updated (though there may not be a reason given but at least it will point you into the direction where to look)
anti virus all seems fine …
i looked in the log folder and there seems to be no problems so at a lost
