Well, I hope they can make this mode a bit easier. the bots drove too fast.
I gave it two more tries, and have to say that in my opinion this is now a map for masochists or those with the ability to keep track of everything at once. Will not play it for the foreseeable future, which removes one of six assault maps for me, with Maginot being close to becoming another one.
The worst part? I forgot to mention that the assault map part is a spawn point for the large PvP version Sands of Sinai. Anything done there has no effect on the gameplay that I can see, it’s just cosmetic. What exactly was the point of reworking this particular corner?
Why would u buy parts with GE now? Its 2-3 games to get parts on top tier tanks now, and you can field repair now aswell, and then full repair on point or get repaired by ally. There is no need to spend GE for modules anymore.

On topic though; I don’t find Sinai all that different but my main spot (if I didn’t close the game before it loaded) was somewhere else. The main spawn is still fish in a barrel and one of the enemy spawns which caused a lot of problems now has a ton of rock cover that they now phase through. It would be a huge overall improvement if they dropped Sinai from Assault rotation.
Then I’m saved, I guess, being German from the ground up, born and living in Frankfurt.
As for Sinai, I was hit three times before I noticed that it wasn’t a single tank in front of me, but a succession rolling past a gap hitting me from behind. I have been annoyed by the magic bot shots since I started playing, but these are really ridiculous. It’s like the IS-2s on Kursk hitting you through the scope the moment you come out behind a building at full speed, meaning they fire at a target that’s blocked from sight - and when you do get blown up during an IS-2 wave, despite their loading time there will always be one just waiting for you to get back into position.
Yeah, drop Sinai, replace it with another one. Just give Assault a bit more attention, not introducing bugs with a new major patch, then maybe repair with the next one.
Force you buy the APFSDS for tank Tier VI & VII with only HEAT stock.

Haven’t won in assault today (playing 6.7-8.0) and Sinai is unplayable.
I mostly play assault to get some mods on stock tanks because going p v p with stock is just suicide.
But now it will take FOREVER to grind mods for tanks tanks in upper BR. Not sure if I have the patience.
Don’t you get weaker boosters on those BRs?
Isn’t that the reason I see players with super-low BR vehicles in upper BR matches? To get a better booster?
From my observations, the boosters are depending on time and win. If the match is a win for the players, it’s a +300% booster and a universal backup. In case of a loss, duration determines the booster percentage.
The low-level tanks - I don’t understand why there is no threshold for joining. Seeing a Panzer II in a 5,7-6,3 isn’t even ha-ha funny, that’s one wasted player slot. I don’t play squadron stuff because I have no interest in any of those vehicles (including the Leo2 PL), so I can’t say if that gives them more points, but most of the time the low-tier tanks are in squads.
As for grinding upgrades…especially with the Leopard 2 family this wasn’t a lot of fun. Lucky for me that I have all the tanks I really want fully upgraded, even though I mainly play my Cat6 preset (Tiger H/E, Panther D/A/G/F). I have a top-tier preset with Leo 2A4 buyware, 2A4/5/6/7 and a Gepard A2, but haven’t used in a while due to the Leos being ammo-cripples. The extended loading time once the turret bustle is empty makes this a rather unenjoyable experience, and the Gepard A2 has been heavily devalued by the ammo crate stunt.
The achievement section says that I bought 76 tanks, and have 25 fully upgraded.
If they wanted to change the buildings and the textures that is fine, but to remove every spot that you had a chance to hide at to attack the waves incoming… with the elusive ‘speeds’ that these ai tanks suddenly drive on any and all terrain as you struggle has really ruined this completely…
I have noticed that even the icons to which you could replenish your vehicle if you reach it are in the same spots as before so some are missing as well as a few that are now just floating about 30ft above the ground…
The spawn issue for players has even been more apparent with spawning on top of each other at the start… I swear I saw someone spawn inside a building at the start of one.

Or yknow,maybe grind it? They are very often rank I mods so they take max 10 games to get parts,FPE and first APFSDS

Played it yesterday. Wasn’t any worse than it always has been.
It’s been like that since the previous rework of Sinai that flattened the sand hills people used to snipe on. Thankfully it’s just visual and you can still pick those items up by driving underneath them.
Any attention at all to some of the PvE elements would be nice. Sinai is bad enough on it’s own, Rocky Canyon for low tier Heli PvE is even worse and Air Assault hasn’t even had a Matchmaker for 13.0+ Aircraft for a year now.
This. Its so much… fun, playing a 50s jet with the supersonic missile boats…
Oh god don’t get me started on Rocky Canyon haha… yea its abyssal unless you have something to out range the laser ai, which only a few in that low bracket can.
As for air assault, we have made suggestions in the past (as well as old forums) about segmenting the last BR as 6.7+ has already been horrible with the influx of agm-65 and similar weapons that nearly wipe entire waves before anyone else can even touch them (albeit not always).
Agree completely that we need to get 13+, I thought by now it would be rectified but seems like perhaps their intention at the current state of things… unless they are actually working towards some separation and modes geared to fix issues, but I have been hoping for years to no avail.
Sadly… I doubt anything will be adjusted any time soon, as they never comment on these modes…
Never did hear anything other than a beta test of a convoy type pve mode several years back, at least it was different… but nothing progressed from it apparently…
I did notice that a certain thing about Assault was fixed, the ticket loss for destroyed or self-destructing players. On some maps it was 25 points, on others 250. Near as I can tell, it’s now 25 everywhere. However, I don’t remember reading about a fix for this. Might have missed it in some patch notes.
I think there is an algo that sets the tickets and base points depending on the average BR of the player’s planes.
No I have not collected any data on this theory.

The low-level tanks are often WORSE than no tank at all. They die often, and the team loses tickets because of that if I’m not mistaken.
I agree there should be a min threshold for joining a battle (regular or assault). A player should have at least 1 vehicle in the BR range of the battle. Of course you can’t force them to use it, but it removes new players with just reserve tanks who are squaded in by friends.
You didn’t notice the rock cover for the bots at the top of the hill?
Bad enough they can snipe you THROUGH the buildings (and wreck them at same time) but now they can get a lot closer under cover. They don’t even need to kill many tanks to win. They just need to get into the cap zone and start reducing tickets.
