Mode: ARB
BR Change: 4.3 → 4.0 / 3.7
The Fw-190 A-5/U2 is a lighter FW-190 A-5 variant which sees the loss of the outmost pair of MG/FF cannons and keeps the more powerful MG151/20 wing root mounted cannons.
However unlike the Fw-190 A-5/U12, the U2 has a slighly lower wing loading, not enough to ensure a BR difference, but an economy difference would be needed.
Mode: ARB
BR Change: 4.3 → 4.0
The Fw-190 A-5/U12 is the last early A variant before the A-8 and the F-8, the U12 has a lower flight performance than the Fw-190 A-5/U2, however, it can use the underwing gunpods to bolster up it’s firepower for 4 extra MG151/20s and a grand total of 6 20mil cannons, being able to pack so much punch does overcome the 4.0 competition compared to the other variants which can struggle to keep up with said opponents, but in the current state of the Fw-190 A-5/U12, even with those extra 20mil added on top, it will struggle to get guns on target.
You know the average KD of the vehicles you suggested to the M13 are below 1 while the M13 has above 1 KD right?
I’d say give it a a slightly faster reload and leave it as is.
Also that description for the Vickers MK.E is hilarious, armor can stop 7.62, yeah it has no armor and no survivability for being slightly faster. The gun is also worse for kills 30g of filler on the M13 next to the Vickers 15g
Also you can 7.62 the turret from behind or engine on the sides on the Vickers. It’s only 18mm which is worse than the M13
Reason: Pretty much just a sidegraded m18 hellcat. Regular m18s are 5.3 in GAB, but for some reason this thing sits a whole 1.0 BR higher. Compare to regular m18s, the superhellcat gets a noticeable worse mobility, slightly worse gun traverse speed, a worse reload speed, limited first ammo rack all for a 90 mil (technically better scope but that’s periscope thing all over again). 90 mil can also be found on M36 which sits at 5.3, the superhellcat is just a faster version of it. Compare to M36B2 which sits at 5.7, the superhellcat gets a better mobility but B2 gets a HEATFS shell. Survivability wise, they are just the same, easily countered by HE shell.
The Do-335 A-1 makes it’s differences in the fact that unlike the A-0 at 4.7, It can carry bombs but also can’t switch the pair of 15mm Cannons? (It is kind of the middle there) for a pair of 20mil. However the 15mil and 20mil cannons are equals in terms of A2A roles, 15mil offering better ballistics and armor penetration, while the 20mil offer devastating damage but high drag affecting ballistics. Despite this, the main weapon of these “Pfeils” is the 30mil mk-103 with a respectable punch and ballistics to help.
PZ IV J should stay 3.7 while the H goes to 4.0 the J is like the D of panthers its turret traverse is slow AF the H should go up with the rest of the 3.7s
will su22m3 gets deserved additional countermeasures? this plane become useless, more countermeasures at least can make it playable in both GRB and ARB.
I don’t care what 3rd party stat trackers say about how well a tank does, gaijin nominally does not, and you generally shouldn’t for this stuff either. Should the American M3 Lee (0.93 KD) be nerfed because of the Russian M3 Lee (2.91 KD)?
The Vickers Mk E is an easy tank to trash talk and that’s exactly why I chose it to compare to, though I honestly found it was still quite a comfortable tank to play. I could instead compare the M14/40 (I) to some of the stronger 1.0 tanks like the Pz III E, M2A4, BT-5, Strv m/39, or Strv m/31 if that would please you.
1.0 for the M14/40 (I) is likely too low, but balance at 1.0 and 1.3 is such a chaotic mess that it’d hardly be the worst offender if dropped to 1.0. Aside from some notable exceptions, rank 1 Italy is rough, so I don’t see too much harm in them being thrown a bone.
M4A3 105: 3.0 up to 3.3 (was only increased to 3.3 in Arcade)
This needs to go up in RB as well, it’s a low tier monster and a very popular seal club vehicle. You can often find entire squadrons playing in these. 2.0 vehicles really suffer against these, so much the M4A3 105 might as well be a Jumbo.
If the winrate begins to drop I absolutely recommend looking at some of @Fourche7 suggestions for new ammo types. On the flip side, if these new ammo types cause it to overperform this could go up to 3.7 with the M4A1. A new vehicle could be added at 3.3 which should be a relatively easy addition - the M4 105. Basically the same vehicle with minor hull differences but slower and lower engine HP.
I don’t believe 3.3 will be enough. The T18E2 is effectively a wheeled Ram II with a better 6-Pdr (the US M1 57mm is equivalent to the 6-Pdr Mk V and has APHE). It’s a very rare vehicle, but that also means it’s in the hands of good players.
My point was gaijin just nuked most of the 3.x tanks what we don’t need is more compression at 1.0, I could care less about whatever if ands or buts happen to 3.x tanks at this point but I’d prefer we don’t just start adding tanks that don’t need to go down in BR when there are smarter ways to balance them which is why I suggested a reload increase given the M13, only has about 51mm pen, this helps it fall more in line with the smaller caliber guns in terms of ROF as reload is a balance factor just like BR.
Reasons: Very powerfull TD. Excellent movility, armor and firepower capable of firing HEATFS and APDS. Is ridiculous 5.7 tanks like Shermans or Tiger 1 face something like this.
Reason: Poor CAS performance due only is capable of carrie a single bomb. Far from beast like A2D or another super props can carrie much lager and powerfull armament. More closer in characteristics to ME 262 A-2a (6.7).
