Aircraft

  • The precision and smoothness of the vehicle’s motion in the Bomb/Missile Camera View have been improved.
  • The ESM functionality has been temporarily limited to ground targets only. We plan to revise and return the ability to detect and attack air targets in the future.
  • F/A-18A, F/A-18A (Britain), AF/A-18A Late ( Britain ), CF-188A (Britain), F/A-18C Early, F/A-18C Late, F/A-18C MLU 2 (Sweden), F-18C (Sweden), F/A-18D Late (Japan) — the structural overload limit has been decreased from 12G to 11.25G for all F/A-18A/C/D aircraft except for the versions with titanium reinforced airframes: F/A-18C (Switzerland) and F/A-18C Late (Switzerland). (Report).
  • MiG-29KR (9-41R) — a bug that caused the canopy ejection animation to be missing when ejecting has been fixed. (Report).
  • MiG-21 2000 (Israel) — the missing G-suit modification has been added. (Report). A bug that caused the number of countermeasures in the spawn screen to mismatch the numbers in battle and in the stat card has been fixed. 42 out of 106 countermeasures have been replaced with large-caliber ones.
  • C-3604 (Germany) — a bug that caused the pitch controls to remain intact after the tail had been cut off has been fixed.
  • IA.58A (Pucara) — the air spawn speed has been increased from 250 km/h to 350 km/h. (Report).
  • CF-188A — the description of the 425 SQN anniversary camouflage has been corrected. (Report).

Ground Vehicles

  • M1A2 SEP — a bug that caused the M829A3 and M829A2 shells to be changed to M829A2 and M829 shells respectively when equipping the TUSK modification has been fixed. (Report).

Nuclear Escalation

  • The event has been extended to July 6th, 11:00 GMT.
  • All rewards in Silver Lions have been increased by 40%.
  • The rewards in Silver Lions for the destruction of ground vehicles have been further increased by 40%.
  • BUK-M3 — the reload time has been increased from 20 seconds to 30 seconds.
  • The composition of each SAMP/T site has been changed from a set of 1x TADS and 3x TEL to 2 independent sets of 1x TADS and 2x TEL, totaling in 2x TADS and 4x TEL per site.
  • The composition of a short-range AA covering SAMP/T sites has been changed from 1x Gepard and 1x ItO 90M to 2x ItO 90M.

Game Mechanics

  • The Spawn Point cost for guided bombs and missiles with man-in-the-loop capabilities has been increased. For bombs with TV seekers, the cost has risen by 9%, and by 7.7% for those with thermal imaging seekers. For missiles with TV seekers, the cost has increased by 8.4%, and by 5.6% for those with thermal imaging seekers.
  • The Spawn Point cost for anti-radiation missiles with wide-band seekers has been increased by 10%.
  • The Spawn Point cost for anti-radiation missiles on helicopters has been decreased by 5.6%.

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.

Stop making CAS more expensive to spawn. You disincentivize experienced SPAA players from playing which results in teams getting wiped by CAS since SPAA is only spawned after a CAS aircraft has performed its strike. Not to mention how now if someone has spawned CAS they are more likely to try harder not to die in it since it was much harder to get.

Vast majority of my games, not a single plane has spawned. I have wasted so much of my time waiting for someone to spawn in a plane all game yet nobody ends up spawning

I have grinded almost every single SPAA in the game and have talismans on many of them yet after all these changes I barely see any aircraft anymore

ARM missiles should also heavily go down in price. It is a weapon that is physically uncapable of killing tanks.

Even as an SPAA, fighting aircraft with ARM is the most fun aspect of this update. Knowing when to turn off your radar and reposition instead of shooting down a munition makes the game so much more interesting and doesn’t make you waste all your munitions shooting down ARHs since you can just turn off your radar and move a few meters

This is not enough. It should be the exact same price as rockets. Completely ignoring the fact that you can only target only 2 SPAA in the game unless they have you locked, a rocket rush by even an unexperienced player is guaranteed to be 100% more effective and CCIP rocket lobbing is so much more efficient it isn’t even possible to compare

ARM’s cost should not be increase, as an munition targeting only SAMs, it has no threat to tanks and SAMs are already cheapest unit in GRB.
Instead, the SAM’s spawn cost should be significantly increase to match the cost of ARM, and for better balancing between air and ground, especially between SAMs and air.
There are no points using 700sp to counter 100sp, the 7times cost gap. And the free SAM is already requiring NO skill, NO money, NO grinding time. For top tier SAM systems, i would say bind half key on keyboard to switch target and another half for firing, kick it away and a kill is scored.
Playing top tier SAMs actually requires no BRAIN.

Blindly adding CAS spawn points in Ground RB will not improve the gameplay experience at all. Instead, encouraging all types of players to participate in air combat is the only way to balance CAS. (In other words, you should only be eligible for CAS if you win the air superiority battle.) This would also help boost the sales of various premium packs.
Some might ask, ‘Why not just play Air RB?’ My answer is: CAS in Air RB is basically just PvE; there is absolutely no real air-to-ground interaction. If I get destroyed by an aircraft, I want to find a way to get revenge in the air, not just grind in the mud playing some so-called ‘tank FPS’.

I’m working to ace my IRIS T, but I also noticed since quite a while that there aren’t alot air spawns. If so, its mostly just Mi-28 or Suchois. Most other nations don’t do any air spawns. I guess one reason are the absurd spawn point costs, so pleople really just spawn very op stuff with LMUR/KH-38. No one invests that much for some guided bombs or Mavericks.

No, Air battle mode exists which is exclusively for this, there is no need to make ground battles air focused

Ok thanks, maybe you should just have writen that ARMs don’t work vs. jets and choppers anymore. Was especially nice in GRB to get intel (no marker mode) and get some unexpected kills.

Sadly the game is kidnaped by such things, WarThunder is killing its unique by endlessly succumbing to those tankers. Though most of which neither have ability to suppress enemy to have no points to get a CAS nor can even fly a aircraft.

Yes. I would definetly invest alot spawn points to get a Mi-28 or Suchoi with KH-38. Cause it usually pays off anyways. But why should I ever spawn a Phantom with two TV guided Mavericks or and Eurofighter/Tornado with four F&F bombs or something similar. It costs the same as an Suchoi with 6x KH-38 or an Mi-28 with indefinite LMURs (insta reload at helipads).

How is that an issue? back when CAS was dirt cheap to spawn, a fully loaded CAS aircraft can spawn in just 1-2 minutes after the match began. SP increase is always nice.
