Update 2.55.1.39

here is a good resource for using ARMs against the SACLOS aimbots

Yes I discovered this method myself a few days ago as well it’s useful. But unfortunately it feels really lame and slow, I have done entire games of just this to test. With this method you can pretty much kill 1-2 AA targets at a time, assuming they aren’t near tons of AA who will spam missiles and intercept it, and then probably die. Or spend 5 minutes RTB and rearm. It’s exponentially more effective to just lob nukes at the AA instead. So they should shift the rewards and preset loadouts to promote more varied roles and making dedicated SEAD viable.

I wonder if they can change rewards based on weapon type like ARM VS TVAGM VS IRAGM bombs guided and unguided etc

Cool so how about fixing the OSA-AKMs and FlaRakRads? I’m 100% sure they can’t fire on the move, get smacked by mushroomo cloudus and keep on truckin, fire with their radar off, hit u thru terrain, intercept ARMs 7km away without a radar, and have the accuracy to snipe a mosquito in America from the fucking Great Wall of china

They can fire with radar off because it’s saclos
Everything else is the problem. The aimbot through jungle and firing on the move

Yep. Although without the radar they don’t get autotracking so they should be missing more.

Yep, and that’s why the aimbot is a problem

We all hate how good the SAMs are already and you’re making them better… Where’s the logic? They ruined the game all around and should be removed entirely.

nah wild weasel is the whole point the nukes are the gimmick
the only really bad anti air is the magic SACLOS spaa that can see through things and fire on the move

No, they’re all bad. I want to play against other players, not AI that’s way too OP. What’s fun about fighting an air battle when there’s a million SAM sites shooting at you as soon as you spawn? The RWR is constantly beeping from all directions… very annoying. It just sucks all around. In GRB you can’t have any top tier dogfights over the battlefield anymore. All that excitement is gone in top tier for both players on the ground and in the air. The answer to aircraft wasn’t SAMs. It should have been less points to spawn a plane to counter planes. Not AI computers with no faults. It’s unrealistic at best.

If all you want is dogfight Call of duty go play ARB or AAB. This is a dynamic game mode where team work is the emphasis between attackers fighters and the eventual strat bomber, where if you want to win you should have to clear a path to the objectives. Instead, i see people just string into a constant head on battle and complain that the s300/patriot did its job when they spawn b52 and tu95.

Ehhh that’s because of the CW Illumination of the missile and the target, the missile may still ‘see’ you even if you aren’t being tracked by the radar. So long as you are illuminated, the missile still has a decent chance of seeing you. It’s weird, and certainly is funky, but it’s still a SARH. You can spoof it pretty easy with proper notching, and also because of the CW illumination it doesn’t always go for the intended target but instead the intended target in blue (friendly plane).

To be clear this is also something that occurs with the 7E-2s and 7Ms. Not just the 7F. It just feels more so on the 7F because more people are trying to use it.

Nah, I mean like I turned 90 degrees from 2 of those three targets and it was still tracking them.

I haven’t scored a blue on blue with them.

I’d like to see video of this. However, Yes. Because of CW Illumination. Still very much possible.

In this event its been rather easy thanks to the proximity of airfields and the height of average gameplay (sub 60m), but a quick search on the internet highlights the frequent occurrence of the Aim-7 going for the non-tracked (but still illuminated) friendly target over the tracked and illuminated enemy target.
