Update 2.55.0.40

Ground Vehicles

  • Cromwell V (RP-3) — the explosive mass in the RP-3 rockets has been increased from 5.44 kg to 6.35 kg, matching the mass of aircraft-launched RP-3 rockets. (Report).

Missions

  • The altitude limit for aerial capture points in Enduring Confrontation missions has been increased from 6 km to 10 km, to make the capturing easier at high Battle Ratings.

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.

Weird how it never was just 6km but 5755m, but this is a good change especially for tiers above 9.0.

I regret reading this cause it is the most useless update this month

There are patches that happen and never get announced. There are patches that are implemented and get an announcement later.

THEN there are hotfixes that do not trigger a new download when you launch the game.

It is nothing to worry or even think about. It has always happened, and will continue to happen. Don’t stress about it.

Yet to have fixed the Ammunition error for the Lvkv 42 and VEAK 40 so they can actually hit aircraft :)

(Screams internally)

(Bug report)

TL:DR

War Thunder incorrectly gives the Lvkv 42 and VEAK 40 the wrong HE ammunition. They currently use shells from an older L/60 gun (lvakan m/36), which their actual L/70 gun (lvakan m/48) could not fire.

Because of this, their in-game performance is lower than it should be (e.g., lower muzzle velocity ~850 m/s instead of ~1000 - 1005 m/s).

Historically, these vehicles should use modern HE-T shells (like slsgr m/483), not the current HEFI/SAPHEI rounds.

Fix: Replace the incorrect shells with the correct L/70 HE-T ammunition (slsgr m/483) or reuse the equivalent shells already modeled for the AMX-13 DCA 40.

This was the most useless minor patch I’ve seen in a while.

I did a restart a little while ago and mine also is a .44
Sometimes the pop up announcements and changelogs come later as well
