Thats good we are getting somewere. At least Gaijin tries and doesnt just put blind eye on their broken top tier naval.

Havent played Yamato since the update. But yeah even before when I didnt even get ammo racked Yamato melts extremly fast from black sections. I think its because unlike other ships it has deck armour lower / doesnt have duble deck so any hit on deck will damage section unlike things like Soyuz or Iowa and other battleships that doesnt get damaged when its some lower caliber that doesnt penetrate upper deck so the damage doesnt enter the ship itself. - idk how to fix that honestly they would have to calculate section damage on actuall hits and not penetration of deck where there is nothing in there that then gets stopped by actuall armor.

  • While if they remove black sections - before fixing/nerfing soyuz then soyuz gonna be even harder to kill as so far most kills on that magic nonsence are by black sections and even then it sinks extremly slow.

And then there is bug with how extremly fast Yamato sinks from holes like torpedos. As posted before in the other post when from single air torpedo I went from 100% to 25 % buoyancy barely fixing it in time. Which is completly unrealistic given how many torpedos and bombs both Yamato classes took before going down very slowly - IJN Musashi in like 4 hours with none of the torpedos or bombs actually penetrating the armor.

I dont think gaijin model have anything like sections inside since even when I get torpedo in unarmored parts like stern or bow that are very clearly separated by massive armor from all the important stuff it still gets water everywere and sinks extremly quickly as if its just single glass bottle that was made hole into.

*edit - Oh yeah thats exactly what I thought from my experience. Written above lmao

really? This gets fixed, but not control saving for ALL CONSOLES? That
should be considered a game-breaking bug yet its been close to a year and a half

8.3 south dakota beats yamato in a 1v1 and is a lower br very fair of them or something

took long enough

Yeah cuz the section damage for Yamato is unbalanced / aka worst with current game mechanic while having same or prob worse HP.

When I played Tosa lately. I havent died of black sections once. Always crew. If that was the case for Yamato it would be great since I always die with 70-80% crew still intact sinking due to black sections because its damaged when hitting unarmored parts.

Like there still are still 2 decks but thin 25 mm ones which I dont think are taken into account in game.

And I guess with Yamato they didnt bother modeling every little armor, deck or AA turret that was 25 mm and smaller.

Unlike their favorites with every individual AA gun shield and deck modelled.

Yamato could very much have moddeled same thing as soyuz with 2x 25 mms deck and belt above its main ones. But it does not.

Other Japanese ships have their thinner decks modelled too.

Hi, this might be a dumb question but I’ll ask it anyway.
What is intended with secondary weapon?
Is it the payload? Or is it the weight of the BREDA-SAFAT machineguns?

never

Sadly you are probably correct… even though there are multiple accepted bugs. I just want to play the nation I want to play without feeling like my hands are tied behind my back. I maxed out a few other nations to hopefully find joy somewhere else. Maybe the “bugs” are working as intended.

The laser still isn’t working
70% of my Mk13 laser-guided bombs from my British Jaguar don’t reach their target and detonate outside the laser’s range of visibility.

Drop height approx. 3000 metres Time to target 28 seconds
After several attempts, I’m back to using rockets because the bombs still aren’t working

Can everyone scream Japanese bias now? Like everyone does with literally anything Russian?

If these fixes will lift the yamato and musashi to get 4 times the K/D of the sojuz for 7 months i will. Though thats unlikely because then the will be at roughly 36:1 K/D. Its highly unlikely that with these fixes they will even get anywhere close to the efficiency of the magical fantasy boat that is the sojuz.

By far the worst 8.7 ship gets fixes to its model that it should have gotten 7 or 8 months ago in the dev server and definitely before it hit live…why should everyone scream japan bias now?

Why do updates randomly screw with my settings.

Decided to fly my Fw 190 in SB.

Controls felt… Sluggish.

Confused, I check my controls and my sensitivities were changed.

It’s hilarious you think the 460mm guns are bad, it was decently tanky before, now, the Yamato may be a game breaker, but only time will tell

Where did i say the gus are bad? They are among the best guns in naval. That didnt stop the yamato to have roughly a 2:1K/D in every month since it was added (bot kills included) and the sojuz to be between 8:1 to almost 9:1. thats 4 times the efficiency. Im gonna call out the changed yamato as being japanese bias when it surpasses the sojuz for the same amount. at a K/D of 36:1 or better. But only if they keep the repaircosts for both ships the exact same as they did with the yamato, sojuz and iowa ever since they were introduced. It was even so tanky that you could get onetapped while angled away by a shot into the frontal ammo magazine from 17 km out by the sojuz sap. Impressive tankiness rly. Or dying by ammo detonations caused by 5.0 light cruisers. While for some reason having less and more vulnerable hull compartments than the sojuz or the iowa.

Oh do we also want to talk about how one mag detonation never entirely sinks a sojuz? Despite the TNT equivalent per magazine is much higher in any main gun mag in the sojuz due to using magical shells with much higher tnt equiv filler than any other ship? But the Yamato does? Secondary, Primary, hell upon introduction she even exploded if you hit the 2000 round aa gun mag midships. Yeah lets better not mention that, because you can say for sure that shes very “survivable”

They have only played one of the ships you are discussing

Take a wild guess which one

Happened to me too today, but it was the opposite. So fast I could barely see. Oddly enough I couldn’t even find what was changed. But thankfully I backup my controls/keybinds often and everything was perfect when I loaded my most recent backup.

Backup you keybinds everyone! I also highly recommend emailing yourself a copy, file is very small.

Useless to back them up for consoles (been broken for over a year)

Sounds like an Issue on your end, because they work as intended
