No, it absolutely does NOT “100%” kill your turret crew on the TT BMPT. I survive with all FIVE crew members at least 75% of the time when the turret ammo cooks off. It is almost completely irrelevant to get the ammo cooked off.
And in the “worst” case scenario, which almost never happens, I lose ONE crew member, and continue on reloading with my ammo crates while I repair. Replace one crew member and proceed to vaporize the guy who cooked off my ammo.

Also, no one is mentioning the mobility of this thing? It really is highly mobile and you easily get yourself on the flank of plenty of juicy MBTs where your APDS will make short work of them. For example:

normal flank bmpt will have more available weak spot, the usual one like front side track / lower plat / drive port .

hull down bmpt will only 1 weak spot and its ammo turret, not the ammo rack. Maybe you can kill its 4 atgm but it can still fire.
The goal of a flank is to dispatch the enemy before your weak spot is available to them. But hey, we have different likes and strategies. Yours is just more sensitive to changes in survivability.
The stats are there to point to this thing still being OP, of course. I have a 4.0KDR in it, with a green/1288.2 rating on statshark. So it just makes you think how high the KDR must be for some people with blue/purple ratings (minus those that have only played a couple of games).

And the people saying it has weakspots, typically you can aim for them yes, but if you are already receiving fire while its moving you cant see shit to aim at the weakspots.
Yep, and even then, most of those weakspots are incredibly inconsistant without the right shell. Like the LFP with L23 or L23A1 from something like the Challenger Mk2 will only kill the driver. It wont kill the tank. You need L26 or better yet, L27A1 to actually be able to do that. So it needs to be at 11.7 just so that the ONLY tanks it can see, are tanks that have enough fire power to kill it
