Ground Vehicles

  • BMPT, BMPT-72 — the Battle Rating in all modes has been increased from 10.3 to 10.7. Because the vehicles turned out to be very effective, it’s possible that the BR increase to 10.7 might not be enough for them to become balanced. We will continue to monitor them and will make changes if needed.
  • T-64B — Battle Rating in all game modes has been increased from 9.7 to 10.0.
  • A bug that caused some APDS shells to lack an armor plate that demonstrated the penetration characteristics in the hangar has been fixed.

Locations and Missions

  • [Assault] Sinai — a bug that caused the invisible rocks to appear in the mission has been fixed. (Report).

Customization and Achievements

  • Demonstration camouflages for BMPT, BMPT-72 — the conditions for automatic camouflage selection have been corrected to desert conditions.

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.

10.3 to 10.7 is like a slap on the wrist, how come the spike puma is at 11.0 while this monster is only at 10.7, t90m hull at 10.7, what a joke.

lmfao so you already admit even 10.7 isnt potentially enough. here is an idea start balancing vehicles outside of BRs, its not a clear cut method. BMPT is still unkillable even at top tier, hell even 11.7 Tanks struggle with the ammo they have.

You clearly didnt learn with the Puma fiasco when it was under BR’d and unkillable and here we are again.

its 11.7 minimum because of pure survivability, now if you nerf its survivability then by all means keep it at 10.7 but atm its 11.7 material

Why did the T-64B go up? It’s been 9.7 forever and was fine there? Now it sits alone without a line-up and has no space in a 10.3 line-up because it’s so bloated already.

admitting “this may not be enough” is a joke. these things have proven to be an easy 12.0 vehicle

these things have the armour of top tier 12.3 MBTs with the weapon array to beat those top tier tanks to death.

how the hell is a CRV meant to be the same BR as that?

I don’t even understand why people struggle to kill this thing. It has the typical Russian tank weakspots, with the turret being 1 round away from getting disabled.

People expect this to be a light vehicle while not realizing it has a MBT hull with MBT armor.

What a mistake. It was fine at 9.7. Now it has no lineup at 10.0(aside from a single 2S25M), and it cant go to 10.3 because it’s simply not good enough for that br.
Way to destroy a vehicle just because of accumulated stats over time.

In their current configuration/implementation, they outperform both the Puma IFVs and the KF41. 9.3 cant even reliably penetrate the Terminators from the side with apfsds, as the reactive armor block can eat the KPZ’s apfsds.
11.0 at least. And it still wont make any sense when it has an ammo box with 4 atgm’s that go where the player aims them. So either unnerf the spike, make it a top attack missile like the LMUR or lower the br of the Pumas and KF41.

Unfortunaly no, you can’t disable both guns and all atgm in a single shot, unless you bright HESH, wich is not available for the majority of tanks.

11.7 MBT armour, with no area to reliably disable it

Lower front plate doesn’t disable, and the drivers hatch is less reliable in general, and won’t kill it, which is the issue, IT JUST WON’T DIE

the thing should be an absolute powderkeg with how much ammo it has in the hull, but apparently the ammunition the crew sit on and lean their feet on is “External”

the only BMPTs ive managed to one shot are BMPT-72s on a count of its lower crew count

That is correct, because lower front plate straight up kills it.

And T-80UD has the same armor as T-80U. yet I don’t see people complaining about it being unkillable.

Your issue seems to be not being able to straight up go through the upper front plate, the way you’re describing it. Other than getting gaijined from time to time (Example of getting gaijined, but with a different vehicle) I haven’t had major issues killing or disabling them.

At least it can now get dragged into 11.7 battles against premium mbts and such

When do you consider to remove the APHE/APDS from stuff like falcon? Its sitting at 8.3 for ages and it has THE BEST KD of ANY 8.3 Techtree! WHY is an SPAA the BEST tank of a BR??? TF?

objectively not true, ive shot them there so many times for it to only get a driver, thanks to mythical “external” belts

people do complain that it does have very good armour (not me for clarification, although it is true its got good armour)

but it atlteast shares the same weak areas as every other T series, breech and drivers (close enough to become the same weakspot, a larger one), and lower front plate that nukes the ammo,

and in addition BMPT has spall liners, which make it much more survivable as a baseline, before the increased, crew, lack of ammo detonation, better armour to begin with, ERA covering all of the side and no breech shot that neuters it completely

Even your own stats tell a story

100% win rate and 4.6 K/D when even in other strong vehicles like Object 292/279/BMP-2M your highest K/D is 2.26

In addition to mostly using russian vehicles, your stats show that it clearly is overperforming and that it should move up regardless of wether/wethernot it is hard to kill

I know i am not the only one of the opinion that is is an absolute arse to kill/disable and it’s only made better by its TD ammo box and SP costs

For further context, i’ve been shooting BMPT with L23, L23A1, L26, 3BM42, 105mm DM33 & DM63, none have relialby one shot or disabled, yes there are some shots that can one shot, but those are either very small presice shots, or not always available, while 1 Ataka to the face one shots you, or 30mms disable you frontally / kill you outright

So,BMP-T at 11.x in January right? You’re gonna wait the end of the winter festivities i guess.

Also,the T-64B raise in BR is literally a dream come true,i don’t know why the T-64B is more survivable than the A despite shooting in the same weakspots with the same rounds,but that thing genuinely ruined 9.3 GAB and known squadrons used it to farm kills like no tomorrow. Glad to see another OP vehicle getting nerfed
