Interface
A bug that caused the current scan area limits of the radar to display incorrectly when zooming in on aircraft in 3rd person view has been fixed.
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
Then at least they should make sense of it and give the Swiss Tiger the weaponry it actually uses still, AIM-9P-4 (at the very least) and AIM-9P-5, instead of the AIM-9P-3 they don’t use anymore since around 1985/86.
Between 86 and 89 the fleet was modernized (externally well visible by the enlarged LERX wing root extensions and “Shark nose”), and those upgraded aircraft only flew with 9P-4 (for training) and 9P-5 - but they always retained the old AN/APQ-159 radar.
There was no other upgrade, until surplus Swiss Tigers were sold to the USN starting (IIRC) 2002, which modified them to F-5N standard with the AN/APG-69 replacing the AN/APQ-159.
And they did it even worse with the Mirage IIIS, where the upgraded variant implemented in the game can only carry AIM-9E’s that by the time of modification have been phased out already several years. The Mirage IIIS in the modelled C.70 modification only ever carried the same AIM-9P-4 and 9P-5…
I know I probably fight a already lost battle here, but I really try to get those aircraft the weapons they deserve (knowing full well this would affect their BR placement…).
