A bug that caused shells to ricochet through the armor in some cases at high impact angles has been fixed. (Report).
A bug that caused the calculations of hits on crew members to take impact angle into account has been fixed. It caused the equivalent thickness to be taken into account and caused fragments that hit crew members at high impact angles to deal no damage.
AMX-50 (TOA100) — a bug that made it impossible to apply decorations to the left side of the turret has been fixed. (Report).
Locations and Missions
A bug in “Sinai” and “Sands of Sinai” that caused gaps between some stones and ground to appear has been fixed. All missions in these locations in all game modes have been returned to the rotation.
[Domination] Franz Josef Land — spawn points for the bluewater fleet have been moved to the south and away from each other. The positions of the capture points have been adjusted.
Eastern Europe, European Province — water level in the rivers has been increased by 0.85 meters to leave the possibility of driving on ramps from the water while still allowing for easier passage of amphibious vehicles under the bridges than before the changes.
Interface
A bug that caused the enemy that was destroyed in the detection zone around a spawn point to stay highlighted on the minimap after respawning has been fixed. (Report).
Sound
Crews of Dutch vehicles are now temporarily voiced over in French. The correct national voice over will be added in the future.
Crews of Thai vehicles are now temporarily voiced over in English. The correct national voice over will be added in the future.
Crews of Swiss vehicles are now temporarily voiced over in German. The correct national voice over will be added in the future.
Sounds of petrol detonation have been adjusted (canisters, cisterns, gas pumps).
A bug that sometimes caused a lack of the player’s ground vehicle sounds after being destroyed in a streak aircraft has been fixed.
A bug that caused the sinking and hull destruction sounds of sinking ships to be heard too far away has been fixed.
Customization
The task for unlocking the “Pz Abt 502 emblem” can now be completed in Tiger Ost and Tiger West tanks from the “Two Fronts” pack.
VR
A bug that in some cases caused the game to show a black screen on start with some VR headsets when playing through SteamVR has been fixed. (Report, Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
In 2.47.0.60 the inertia on the Sherman (Hell) was changed. While the added inertia(and feel of mass) is nice it did not fix the issues with it bouncing and moving unnaturally as it didn’t fix the underlying issues that are causing it in the first place. The HVSS suspensions remain virtually completely rigid with barely any travel. The bogies also still don’t tilt like they’re supposed to which is likely also contributing to the stiff suspension. These issues also still affect to varying degrees all hvss shermans (and the T25) not just the Hell pack one.
edit: Forgot to add that the inertia changes withouth fixing the suspension in some ways made the track/ground interaction and animations look even more broken and introduced even more clipping.
Does this mean that crew members will no longer absorb all the damage from bullets? Like when you fire a HEAT or HESH at a T-54 from the front and all the damage is stopped by the driver, preventing damage from passing through to the turret area. It’s incredibly pathetic that bullets with such penetration and spalling are stopped by a mere human body, leaving almost the entire tank intact. Personally, this is something the developers should urgently review, since a crew member or tank module absorbing all the damage is all too common in games, especially with HEAT and HESH, making them by far the worst ammo in the game and something you try to avoid as quickly as possible. Another thing Gaijin should review is the internal modules. For example, as I mentioned before, in many cases, the internal modules stop all bullet damage, when in reality, hitting those modules should generate even more spalling. For example, if you shoot the turret ring, it would generate more spalling due to the pieces of the ring breaking off, added to the armor and bullet fragments. However, in many cases, the turret ring simply stops all damage.
Essentially, the penetration and damage model in this game needs a massive overhaul and update to be even minimally realistic.
The thing that really bothers me about this game is that it seems like the developers are racing against time. They release an update with several new vehicles, fix a few major bugs, and still have a moderate amount of major bugs and quite a few minor ones. Then they release another update that adds more vehicles, fixes a few bugs, but adds more bugs than the ones they already had and fixed. All this ends up being a mess where a few major bugs are fixed, a few minor bugs, but new bugs are added that accumulate with the old ones that were still unfixed, making it worse with each update, and you continually see bugs that keep spreading over time, such as the one with many suspension models that don’t work properly, the ZSU-23-4 throwing bullet casings out of nowhere, or that tanks have broken areas in the 3D model, like the Panther G’s hull end, which has some covers. of the engine that are in black.
since the HVSS Suspensions are not getting fixed after almost a month i decided to not get the Hell Pack!
how can you release an update with so many things wrong and almost nothing being fixed WHERE IS THE ARMOR OF THE RAH-66??? why do you ignore so many bug reports?
I was curious about adding national voice lines for these sub-nations, I am glad to know they are planned to be added.
But I still have one curiosity. Since we’ve already got several Romanian aircraft vehicles, a helicopter and a ground vehicle, are there any plans to add Romanian crew voice lines for air and/or ground crews?
