Update 2.43.0.31

That explains why I randomly had my IRST on. It was a bug.

I thought I was just stupid and hit a bad keybind lmao

Yeah from what I have seen you have about 2-3 mins to edit a post without it counting as an edit. It seems to allow so you can fix grammatical errors or spelling mistakes. Helps when typing on an phone.

It’s a “feature”. One that I don’t like a lot and want gone but it’s still intended. I really hope that they’ll change it.

did you just test it lol. I saw it change twice.

No not testing I use it often as when I am on here 99% of the time I’m on my phone.

Relax lil man.

I’m not going to argue this, you clearly have a sort of grievances outside the game contributing to your poor attitude here.

cheese

Hard disagree. Its just as accurate (and fair) to give them an AESA radar if they had them and nother nations are getting them. Gaijin didn’t specify which production variant of either models they went with. And that can be said (“watching things get buffs they don’t need”) about the EFT and Typhoon. Im not arguing against the historical accuracy. But did the EFT and conpany need these buffs (and yes, they absolutely are buffs)? You can’t swing a stick around this game and not hit a “The Eurofighter is the new king!” Or “The META has changed! EFT Gameplay” video or post. So clearly they aren’t struggling.

And I’m not against radars that need fixing getting fixed. You can do both. But I don’t buy this “the US doesn’t need X or Y because it risks reigning back some spotlight from the EFT”. Not for a second. The US shouldnt be gatekept from getting the rest of its kit just because it might lessen the lead the EFT and company pulled after finally getting the one plane they spec’ed into.

I’m not saying the US should be reigned back at all, I’m saying that the F-15C/E have accurate and working radars, whereas other nations either have unfinished radars or no 14.0 aircraft at all and that given that radars seem to be a bit of a development choke point it would make more sense for development time to be focused there than towards the US who again are doing just fine and whose implementation isn’t placeholder.

I mean you completely missed the part where I said Russia, China, Sweden, and Japan are all in need of a 14.0 first which has absolutely nothing to do with the Eurofighter getting buffed.

But you are arguing that the historically accurate F-15C/E should take priority over the historically inaccurate Eurofighter and Rafale

The issue is that radars seem to be a development choke point, like it isn’t just this addition, almost every new top tier jet they add has a placeholder radar, so clearly they’re already struggling to get the new radars right, which means they actually can’t do both. You combine that with the new additions they need to be working on for other nations and giving the F-15C/E a better radar despite their current one being perfectly competitive from a gameplay point of view, and accurate from an historical point of view, I think it is fair to say that giving the US an AESA radar should be lower on the priority list for the start of the year.

The F-15s we have don’t have AESA IRL.
We don’t need F-15s and Typhoons with AESA, that and when the new F-15s and Typhoons are ready for the game they can come.
Soviets don’t have AESA on a fixed wing.
France doesn’t have AESA on an F-15.

What you want is F-16V, same for @BearHasLanded

Nah what I want is an SU-30SM, J-11B, F-2, and JAS 39E, and then for the US to get an F-16V or F-15 with the AN/APG-82(V)1, or better yet an F/A-18E with the AN/APG-79

considering JHMCS on the F-15C is from early 2000s, and AN/APG-63v2 is from 1999, AN/APG-63v3 is from 2006, the F-15C MSIP II should at least have the AN/APG-63v2

F-15E RMP happened later though so ingame one cant have APG-82 unless they change it

Letting people catch up for tech is a good idea.

@quartas121
F-15s weren’t upgraded to AESA until after JHMCS regardless.
USA upgrade process for radars of older airframes is slow, largely the manufacturers are slow cause they want to 100% verify everything will work.

wasnt there 18 F-15C with AN/APG-63v2 in service 2000, before JHMCS? a month or so after F-2 in service too funny enough

Is AESA even modeled correctly in game yet, as it stands the Rafale radar doesn’t feel particularly any different from any other top tier radar

i am test flying the kfir now, they gave it aesa it scans quite fast now and has good range, as well as a2g modes

i still think it needs some adjustments though

Yeah, the radar on the Kfir does feel much better than the Rafale, though it seems weaker to notching than other radars, at least that’s what it feels like

This change fixed absolutely nothing

But that is what you are arguing though. You are saying the US shouldnt receive anything until everyone else is at the same level. I agree with the catching up portion, but not at the expense of. Effectively, that no equal improvments should be made to US vehicles until placeholders or voids in other nations are fixed. Im saying both can happen at the same time.

If Gaijin is able to implement an AESA in a top tier French aircraft and a Russian helicopter, why not give at least one of the two US airframes as well? If the EFT model in game should have one, give it to them as well. Not specifing what production variant of either aircraft has absolutely shot them in the foot from a “if this, then that” perspective. Whose to say what is currently in the F-15C MSIP and F-15E isnt a placeholder for tech that could come? If the content being made by players and content creators (big and small) is any indication, the EFT and company certainly arent struggling with their supposed placeholders.

But telling US players, who are the probably the bread and butter of this game’s monetization, they shouldn’t look forward to anything because Gaijin show backburn any newer or improved US vehicles/tech because other nations didn’t produce nearly the same amount or update as frequently is a terrible take. Full stop. Especially when a majority of US players are not here arguing minor nations shouldnt get what they can get. Give Russia an Su-30SM. Give Japan its F-2. They should get them. But don’t expect US mains to just be chill with nothing for a few updates, especially when additions like the F/A-18 wouldn’t have put the US above the EFT meta wise. It would have been absolutely no different than adding the Su-33 like they did.

You seem to be missing my entire point which is development time, they can “just” do anything, everything they do takes time and some things are more important that others, I’m sure they will add stuff for the US but for the first half of the year which is only two patches and usually only one major air update I don’t think an improved F-15C/E should be the thing, if that’s what you got for the first 6 months I think you’d even be upset, I would rather imagine that the F/A-18 comes which again limited dev time isn’t just simply as well as a better F-15, an F/A-18 would also be better financially given that it would provide renewed interest for people to grind the US tree. I can also see them adding a new premium aircraft to the US tree alongside an actual new airframe which again brings in a lot of money

Like the top tier US vehicles added in the first half of this year were F-15C, AV-8B, and F-20, that is it for the first 6 months, if that’s the amount of stuff the US can get in 6 months then the F/A-18C/E should take two spots and then some premium aircraft to rake in the money from the first two.

And if you think this year was sparse for the US, in the first 6 months of last year the US got the F-14B, F-4S, and A-7K
