Well the commandant wanted to go in the way of drone warfare last I heard. Retasking a lot of the abrams crews to drone warfare.

I thought the F-35s would’ve been tested more. Pilots getting randomly ejected, random crashes. It’s what 8-9 down out of how many delivered ?
If they handed marines over to the army Willy nilly we all know there’d be a mass riot on base XD
From what I heard about some of the ejections they weren’t random. They were pilots over reacting. One of them was recently relieved of command cause of it.

imagine if they just made an IED/drone jammer and put it on the tanks/LAV’s to cover infantry,
and drone pilot stations on LAV’s
now you have coverage from drones thats armored and can shoot back, and your own mobile, armored command post for drones that can carry maybe even dozens of FPV drones

Well the F-35 can auto eject the pilot too. He may have been a scape goat. Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve heard of that

Yeah I figured you were talking about options, but I didn’t want to assume.
True the 22 is still being used.
The 22 track record is way better. Might not have the fancy systems and what not of the F-35… but it seems like the F-35 is a bit too early into service.
AT least it’s not got the track record of the F-104

Hey man, don’t sh*t on my Osprey. My goal was to fly them one day. Service related Injuries saw to that not being a reality.
I do actually like the Osprey though. If taken care of they are unique and good aircraft. If not taken care of, there’s a big problem.
I don’t think there is any money to can the 1Z right now. Especially with the parts compatibility with the UH.
