After the Useful Actions mechanic punishing you for doing anything after 2 kills or a kill and a cap and other fairly low ceiling, it’s hard to be disappointed.

Lol, LMAO even. Even yesterday evening I had more REAL players in ASB match, than I’ve seen (real players) during Baden naval event where queue times were still like 5 minutes long.

Legit, the only time I struggle to find lobbies is:
- I’m trying to play at a weird time for my time zone
- The BR plane I want to play is currently on a rotation where it does not fit in well.
- All lobbies are over 90+ minutes in and I don’t want to spawn in and get shafted by the useful actions mechanic not giving me enough time (since IME most lobbies only last for ~1 h 50 mins or so if active at 4.0) to offset my initial spawn cost so I don’t bother (The F4U-4B is only like 8k to spawn, but it’s a lot of money for me with how much SL I spend on rerolling BP tasks and buying new planes and tanks)
- None of the active maps appeal to me because of weather or size
If events weren’t such grindfests this wouldn’t even matter, why not reward skill instead of time spent wasted doing dumb chores in the game?
You still get better rewards from base bombing than from kills. You are only encouraging people to avoid fights and farm instead. Reducing the score gained changes nothing.
I wonder if something as simple as “You only receive 33% of the score towards events when performing the action. You must return and land at an airfield to receive full credit.”
It’d reward skill, and given even the shortest path between base-airfield, would likely ~double the time taken for the desired score if you were abusing J out/crashing while not punishing those who actually demonstrate skill in evasion and self-defence. It’d likely more than double given you cannot just respawn at your desired airfield for optimal climb path for the new base and whatnot (at least for props, idk if jets fly straight from airfield to base).
It would suck for capturing A points and getting kills since it incentivized ditching to RTB, so maybe “getting killed by the enemy rewards another 33% of the event progress for total of 66%.”
Kinda like how payout works but more aggressive.
Once again instead of addressing the zombers and bots we get Sim rewards nerfed again. First Useful (Useless) Actions and now this. Instead of nerfing Sim rewards constantly why not just deal with the problematic zombers?

Not sure what servers you are playing on, during the Baden event I had consistently full games with sub-1 minute queue times. Even yesterday playing 2.3 coastal for one of the battle pass challenges I was getting full games with a 2-ish minute queue time and just now, I queued for 40 seconds to get a game at 7.0 bluewater with 10 people in the match. As of about 2 minutes ago, there were exactly 98 people in all of the Air Sim lobbies in EU and US put together. So yes, the Sim community, especially the Air Sim community is smaller than the Naval community.
Well that sucks. That’ll make it way harder for sim to be playable for events.
This will just promote boring play styles like airfield bombing…

Go into a Sim match during an air event and see how many bombers don’t react at all to being attacked. Around 90% of bombers during the events are AFK and running scripts so that don’t have to play the game.
Base bombing is perfectly fine to do. The problem is with players running scripts to AFK and keep bombing and abuse the game.
So players can’t complain that Gaijin are actively hurting the Sim community instead of dealing with the issue and they deserve to get less rewards for a 2 hour match than a 5 minute RB match?

Typical, rather than address why people were doing it or addressing that specific issue gaijin saw a chance to extend the grind for soemthing and dove for it.
You already slashed airfield rocketing to address one bit of the afk farming in sim for events and rather than focus on the details you just slashed rewards for everyone in one of the most hardcore modes of the game.
Long after having slashed normal RP rewards in sim for everyone because of afk grinders.
Ridiculous.

That’s a real shame. It was nice being able to do the events super quickly (via playing the gamemode properly). Again, instead of Gaijin putting up all multipliers they nerfed the only events that were actually fun to do. Typical

Bombers? They’re fine. If they communicate (ping their position so you don’t spend half a map chasing them as you saw a black dot flying in a way that indicates threat) (call out enemies they see with air alert and cover me) and fight for their lives.
But bombers who suicide the moment they see an enemy plane or intentionally crash themselves? No thanks.
I’m also frustrated at how they seem to never ping their position wasting everyone’s time.
I’ll happily fly escort and give up my plane to save a bomber who is a team player. It’s immersive! Especially on dover strait (battle of britain vibes).
There is those that ram into the AF spamming rockets. Which could be botters. Everyone hates those.
I don’t think anyone has any issue with people who actually bomb bases and other PvE targets and then RTBs
