yeah the AIM-54 has the same range as an AIM-7E that isn’t nonsense at all

The maximum range doesn’t matter once it’s launched.
If you want practice I’ll get in my F-14 and assist.
The AIM-54 was useless from 2022 - December 2023… not sure how people forgot how to defeat them when they’ve been doing it for over a year, with me doing it in the Mirage 3C

to get any range out of the missile you have to be up high and with the aim-54 you have to be going faster than mach since its slow acceleration. Being up high leaves the 14 vulnerable to being shot down from underneath since that is a blind spot for the rwr.
At the start of the match the f-14 players are looking for people going in a straight line if you are going off to the side your chances of having a aim-54 shot at you reduces significantly. Look up at the contrails when you see the spam turn left or right, do a 180 and then finally back toward the main battle. Best way to deal with the aim-54 with no rwr.
Could you please answer what’s going on with small bombs they also got less rewards

gee that high altitude F-14 sure seems vulnerable to my rear aspect only AIM-9Js with poor range
there’s just no reason this thing should be 11.3 when the J-7E is 11.0

Yes actually. 4km range at high altitude, and most jets at that BR climb fast.
I’m sure climbing to 4km with no RWR will end well that sounds smart

yea nose up underneath the f-14 and make sure radar is off, then take your shot. I do agree that the br should go down for this plane though. not having all aspects makes it a rougher time in combat. The f-4C is at 11.0 with no flairs but at least it has radar missiles

Remind J-7E is pretty cracked at 11.0BR atm.
I finally grinded my crew to ace after BR changes but, it wasn’t needed staying at 11.0BR because you have pretty decent RWR, AAMs, flight models.
Single NR-30 was not problem because it is still not hard to aim.
my bad, for some reason i though it shot up to 11, but you are correct.
F-4C is 10.7 and also overtiered
it doesn’t make sense for the J35XS to be 1.0 BR higher than the J35D in exchange for 12 flares and 2 more missiles
it’s only that high because people made a strong income base rocketing with it

J35D dont have AIM-9J, only 9B
Well unfortunately there is no immediate fix, once they get more data about the br changes they will make adjustments but until then just have to make due with what we have access to now.
it has RB24J which are AIM-9J, wrong
