The F1C-200 is still a great plane, what are you wafflin about?
yeah mirage F1 is still a great fighter with cracked missiles for the BR
the J35XS is now a real stinker though, when a plane struggles to fight other fighters in a downtier you know something is wrong
Not gonna lie, I never considered the J35XS a good aircraft.
I bought the J35A when it was still available and its great, because of the flight performance, but that flight performance isn’t that great at higher BRs.
I couldn’t support putting the J35XS below 11.0 tho, as it just offers too many improvements over the J35D.
yeah, same for me, i bought it for top tier and guess what, this update turn this jet to trash for 100%%%%%%%%%%%
12 flares and 2 more missiles aren’t exactly world ending improvements, it also has 1 less gun in exchange, and its totally outclassed by other 11.0s (cough J-7E cough)
Not sure why was separate discussion on not still fixed issue was closed and forwarded to update that didn’t fix that issue.
The issue is not the issue of rockets doing too much damage to bases/airfield and the issue described in topic wasn’t fixed really by the recent update.
The Air event abuse by rocketing airfields in simulator for score is still a thing. Damage is lower sure but who cares when score reward is so high.
For 40k score air event with F-4E you need to suicide into airfield with rockets like 6-10 times which requires no skill or a lot of time spend. (F-4E load on airfield gives 1,2k score given massive rank and simulator multipliers and occasional score from airfield module destruction give the 6-10 range)
The bug fix didn’t fix score gain that much or at all from what i tested and is still an issue. Which still means during air events you will see full lobbies of 20 Phantoms doing nothing but using rockets. What is needed is reduction in score not damage for air simulator. So that air events aren’t being abused.
12 large caliber CMs, 2 additional missile, 4 additional hardpoints, the ability to carry two rocket pods without having to sacrifice any missiles, IRST and CCIP
That’s more than enough to warrant two BR steps in my book.
Why did you buy the J35XS in the first place?
Did you just buy it because you saw others rocket bombing with it?
Question beside: Are you a developer ? Or are you working for WT ?
People are complaining about release that doesn’t make any sense or talking about spending real cash money !? Money what they are spending for their hobby, for a game !.
And somehow you always have an answer like." Na it is not bad!" or “Na, the numbers are talking are different story ?!”
I’m not a dev and I am not working for Gaijin.
The update made a lot of sense. Rocket bombing was never intended to be as efficient as it had been until this update. Believe it or not, there were people working on bug reports to get this fixed, because the rocket bombing spam meant that actual bombers and strike planes that relied on bombs couldn’t get bases.
War Thunder lets you use premium vehicles in test drive to give you a rough overview of what you are getting and actual specifications are readily available. When you buy something like the J35XS you should be fully aware that it only gets 12 CMs and rear aspect missiles on a 10.3 airframe.
I do agree that 11.3 is too high for the XS, but it shouldn’t go lower than 11.0. Just like many other planes it had to go up to fit into the (slightly) decompressed environment.
The common example of the J-7E being better at a lower BR is not a reason for the J35XS to go to a BR below 11.0. The J-7E should go up in BR.
After Update 2.37.0.84
in the simulator battle mode, using rockets to attack the airfield from which the player’s plane took off was rewarded with an unusually high score The problem remains
Hello, respected game officials. I want to give you feedback on one issue, namely, in the simulator battle, the player can fly the plane to attack the airport and earn a lot of points quickly by firing rockets. A player firing 400kgTNT rockets at an airport usually earns more points than killing three aerial targets. This phenomenon is mainly concentrated in aircraft events, in simulator battles, a large number of players often fire a large number of rockets at the airport in order to score a large number of points. Personally, I think this phenomenon is not conducive to the development of the game and will discourage players’ enthusiasm for air combat. I hope the game officials can reduce or delete the scores brought by the use of rockets and other weapons to attack the airport, so as to reduce the bad phenomenon that a large number of players can quickly score by attacking the airport.
In Update 2.37.0.84, either Realistic Battles or Simulator Battles. The scores of the bases on the rocket attack map have been corrected. But rocket attacks on the player’s takeoff airport in Simulator Battles still get a lot of abnormal points. For example, using the F4E Phantom aircraft to attack the airport with the Space Flying Squirrel rocket earns nearly 1,500 points a time, which is much higher than the points brought by normal air combat.
And there have been numerous tutorials on Chinese video sites about having rockets attack airfields in Simulator Battles to get high scores
hope that the game officials can reduce or delete the scores brought by the use of weapons such as rockets to attack aircraft sites,
only two of those things make an actual difference in air rb
I don’t think you’ve played this plane since the nerfs if you don’t realise how legitimately horrible it is
I don’t own the J35XS. I never even considered buying it, because it’s a terrible deal.
BRs exist to enable matchmaking based on vehicle capabilities. If the difference between the J35A and the J35D is deserving of 2 BR steps, then the difference between the J35D and J35XS definitely is worth 2 BR steps as well.
Side Note
Looking through the tech trees, BR differences between variants of vehicles seem extremely inconsistent, but generally even small upgrades lead to a higher BR. There are plenty of cases of vehicles getting higher BRs for having newer guns (same caliber), slightly better engines or different wing shapes.
At the higher BRs you start to notice how bad the BR compression really is with vehicles like the A-4B and A-4E or the Harriers sharing BRs or planes like the F-104A/C and MiG-19 sitting at 9.3
Pretty much everything else at 10.3 and above went up by a BR step anyways, so the J35XS isn’t negatively affected by being 11.0. It wasn’t a bad plane at 10.7, there just was (well, there still is) too much BR compression going on.
And just because you don’t see any use in the rocket pods, the CCIP and the IRST doesn’t mean they are useless or that they should be ignored when it comes to BR balancing.
The rocket pods can be used as makeshift flares and let you ground pound very efficiently, as you have access to CCIP. The additional hardpoints allow you to trade 2 of your missiles for even more rockets in longer matches or for drop tanks whenever a huge EC map comes around.
The IRST lets you radar slave your missiles without pinging an enemies radar.
the difference between 9Js and 9Bs is a bigger difference than between the 35D and XS, it’s an absolutely awful plane
Possible to receive Battle Pass PTS faster?
Can we have another place to play attackers/fighter-bombers? What about RB EC?
Tbf the j35a weighs slightly less than all the j35’s but it also has the weakest engine of them all. Additionally the j35a used rb24J irl, i dont remember if rb24 was used on it.
what? never said i can constantly notch, i just said that u can
Every update requires careful wording to strike a balance. GAIJIN, you really don’t have to be so indirect every time. We all know that you think players who don’t spend money shouldn’t get profits, but who told you that your game is free? LOL, Players will continue to explore humorous ways to gain profits until they kill the excellent operation of this game.
Why did you cut the rewards? To buy more premium content? Should we play this game 24/7?
