Update 2.33.0.132

Still not a buff. The “reward change” doesnt affect the heli in anyway so it is not a buff to it.

better at least actually kill him instead of ignoring him just because you get credited for the kill so you avoid him exterminating the rest of the team “just because he’s already dead”

They get reward for critical hit instead of kill because they didn’t kill the kamov they just critically damaged them.

Right and so does the repair cost of Kamovs reduced for not being killed,…

Give me one,… it’ll be fun having low repair cost and no death count,…

Why should you have a repair cost of dead if you’re not dead?

Could someone explain how coax rotors negate Newton’s 3rd law of motion?

I LOLed. If they didn’t need tails, they wouldn’t have them.
But then then tail rotor helos can lose their tails and keep flying normally, so why shouldn’t those with out… Gaijin (actually) fix your game.

If you actually kill a ka-50 by destroying their tail you still get the kill @Cpt_Bel_V

tldr:
the rotors blades can angle themselves on the fly at any given position to make the pitch up movement. no need for a tail to be able to do that. th tail just increases the stability when actively moving forward.

Yeah I know they can, but helicopter rotors are extremely sensitive to center-of-mass shifts regardless. Because that mass is now forward it is going to lose a substantial amount of overall lift because it has to compensate for the new offset. That’s why the hardpoints/launched weapons on every helicopter are placed in line with the rotors for example.

absolutely yes.
but that does not mean it automatically looses all control and crashes the instant the tail is gone.
its just going to be way harder to manually control. and the loss in thrust is in part made up for by the loss in weight by the tail, but not at all enough for it to be as stable as it is in game at the moment. it should probably be adjusted in game for that, but i don’t think i know enough to comment on how exactly.

fly? yes. easily? no.

there is literally a video from that conflict where one is flying home without parts of its tail.

Parts does not equal “missing the whole tail”.

Lemme guess, you guys are Ka Fitty Enjoyers? No bias there…

yeah @Stona_WT you have a typo on the first bullet. You mean He 115 C-1.

Actually the BV 138 C-1 was grouped with the He 115 C-1.

not at all.
i don’t play USSR or side with that side in the conflict.
but credit where credit is due, its a very advanced and capable helicopter. it is however way to controllable in game without its tail. it should still be controllable, but a lot more “sluggish” in its controlls.

Look at this point, Gaijin should just do what they seem to be edging toward - making it absolutely pointless to play anything other than Soviets.
Just remove all other nations so we only have soviets in the game, that way, they dont have to ferk around making these constant little buffs and save themselves alot of time and effort.

Show me Ka-50 status,… the indications on the sides don’t show how much it took damage in front,…
I said : only blowing off the tail.
