Uparmored KV-1S?

I came across this image of a KV-1S with additional armor plates on the front of the hull(and what looks like small pieces on the sides), could this possibly be added as a tech tree tank?

Given the decals on the side of the turret and relative obscurity of this KV variant I see this tank likely being a premium instead of a normal TT vehicle.

It would probably be 5.0 or 5.3 in BR given this thing is just a KV-1 (ZiS-5) that gains actual reverse gears at the cost of turret armor and gun penetration.

Overall a very interesting vehicle that I would love to see in the game, If you aren’t able to do it yourself I bet you can easily find a few people who would love to write and submit a suggestion for this tank.

Thanks man, but I don’t think it should be 5.0 or 5.3, as the armor will become worthless and the gun will really struggle, besides, at that BR you have the first T-34-85.

+1, Id love for it to be a modification, installable.

But there is also possibility where the hull of a KV-1 ZiS-5 with a broken turret was just put together with the KV-1S Turret during tank restorations.

This was my thought to. Could also be vintage original since there was some variation at the factories and they did running changes throughout the war.

A mock-up of the KV-1S heavy tank is on display in the open exposition of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War. Its turret, manufactured by the Chelyabinsk Kirov Plant in 1942-1943, was discovered at the site of hostilities of the 73rd Guards separate heavy tank regiment of the breakthrough in the area of the village. Safronovo-1 (Murmansk region) and donated to the museum by an employee of the search association, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, V.B. Legkobyt in 1999. A mock-up of the KV-1S tank was made using a fragment of the armored hull of the KV-1 tank found at the site of the fighting in the area of Vorya river, Kaluga region, in 2010. Restoration work was carried out in 2010 by LLC Shtiver.

If its a modification perhaps. I doubt they would make it a premium. If anything it would just be a field modification option like many other vehicles.

Came here to say this. Pretty sure this a regular KV-1 hull with a KV-1S turret put together to have a full display piece.

Like others have said: this is just a turret from a KV-1S mounted on top of a KV-1 hull.
How can you tell? The engine deck on KV-1S is sloped backwards, while on normal KV-1s is perfectly horizontal (like we see here).

This looks more like a KV-1 ZiS-5 hull with a KV-1S turret placed on-top.

It would fit in around 4.7 imho because it wouldn’t perform any better than the KV-1 ZiS5. The only advantage would be faster reverse at the expense of much thinner side armor. The KV-85 is also at 5.0 and that’s really when you need that 85mm to start fighting big cats.

I can feel Pz-IV Shaking seeing this
