Overview
With the introduction of Tusk Force, three new nuclear-capable strike aircraft has been added to the top ranks to make it easier to drop the nuclear payload and ending the game. That being the F-111F Aardvark, Panavia Tornado, and the Su-24 Fencer.
Although only one of the three nuclear carriers have “their own” music track in the War Thunder 2.0 Soundtrack, that being “Waltz of the Tornado”. As this track is currently only for air battles, this would be an interesting way to introduce some air tracks into ground battles.
Function:
For those that play with the in-game music still enabled, when spawning the nuclear carrier in ground battles, the current BGM playing will tone down be replaced with the subsequent music track (in this case, Waltz of the Tornado) and will play throughout the flight towards the battlefield.
If the nuclear carrier is shot down without the payload being delivered, then the music track will tone down and return to whatever BGM was playing prior to spawning the nuclear carrier.
If the nuclear payload is dropped but the carrier is shot down, then the subsequent track will keep playing, only be ‘skipped’ to the ending of the subsequent track.
If the nuclear payload is delivered successfully and the carrier isn’t shot down, then the track will continue normally, and end with the mission.
On the other hand, for the other two aircraft, instead of “Waltz of the Tornado”, “Dancing on the Edge” will instead be played with the same points as made before.
This aims to give the player a more cinematic feel when delivering the nuclear weapon, like “the battle is not yet over” despite the enemy team has the advantage and the victory is in their grasp.
