It’s astonishing if you go back to the war thunder wiki and look at the Battle Passes in order. They just get worse and worse. The only battle pass that was super worth it to me was the one with the A-1H Skyraider, I loved that.

It’s slightly different but not in a good way. The T-44 has a giant shoot me flat plate which is same as T-44-122
3 vehicles (for some people just 2, as 1 is recycled) is too little for the amount of effort and money involved. Too many tasks are too grindy, too repetitive and based on wins. Lame and boring. Some days I cannot even get an easy task done because it must be a win plus some other condition and I’m on a losing streak.
Yeah, you can reroll, you say. I already rerolled multiple times to get a special task and I will still have to reroll the medium task. It’s pretty usual that I spend 136,000 SLs a day to reroll and still have some crappy/grindy task at the end. Everything has to be a grindy chore in this game to get anywhere.
Ive spent over 1k dollars on this game and after buying 1 bp I never bothered to again. Its horribly grindy, the rewards are dogwater, its just a mess.
There are so many examples of good bsttlepasses out there to copy, even the original dota/fortnite ones from 100 years ago are superior to this crap.
Dota BP is grindy as fuck but it worth the money spent on the initial purchase because of just how expensive the resale value of the item you get in the BP can go. I think that Kunkka shark ghost ship Immortal goes for about 500 bucks now? and even astronaut sniper is on the low 200.

Yeah, some of the daily tasks really are draining both time-wise and mentally. But you can always fall back on lower-tier vehicles. Some tasks that would be impossible at top or mid tier become totally doable and even easy in low tier.
Not saying I’m defending the mission system far from it, I’m always criticizing Gaijin for their battle systems, rewards, and balancing… but there are still ways to work around some of the mess, even if we have to do it in a sneaky way.

Back when they first launched, the money spent was actually worth it nowadays, not so much. But if you pick your vehicles wisely, based on the nations that are considered “strong” in the game, you can set up a solid lineup for farming lions in Rank V/IV battles.
In the short term, yeah, it might not seem worth it. But in the long run, it definitely pays off.
Just couple of minutes ago I spent 136,000 SL, again. Of course at least one of the tasks MUST reroll twice. How is that not built in suck? I have one hour left for the tasks to reset. The tasks I was getting were almost impossible to finish in less than an hour, so now I have to wait. I cannot reset the task manually until the time runs out. Yet another DUMB game feature. I’m not going to play, as I know I will have to play anyway after the reset (have a bunch of boosters that I need to use today and trying to get one more BP level).
The BP takes 3 months while I’m using premium time. If I go low tier, I’ll lose most of my grind, as I’m grinding Tier VI in Naval.
Yet another stupid thing with BP is that if you login to the game tonight, the login bonus will count towards the old BP, but not towards the new one tomorrow. Everything is always built against you. There is always some catch. Gaijin just can’t help themselves.
So far it looks like the new BP will be the same ol’, crusty chore fest. They screwed up Naval aim, so now it takes even longer to accomplish anything (blatant income nerf). I’m not going to purchase the new BP, if they don’t fix the damn aim. My premium time is expiring soon and I don’t see any reason now to renew anything. GG, gaijin.
