+1, this would be an ideal version of the British tree.
We undertook this project to try and reorganise the UK Tree in the most ideal way, and we hope that it can serve as a good example for other trees which are facing similar issues to Britain. Such a tree would be very helpful for the US and USSR TTs, but it would definitely help a lot of other trees, even trees which are considered to be small such as France and Italy.
the Cheetah C has both the R-Darter and Python 4/5 missiles, (possibly can carry 6 missiles in total).
12.7 might be a bit too low… (given the good radar and fm as well as the god missiles)
Edit: (Also isn’t the Cheetah D just as potent and capable as the Cheetah C, just a worse FM given the two seater part, probabaly should also be around the same BR as the Cheetah C if so.)
we are aware, this was started before India was confirmed to be coming to Britain and whist researching we became aware that there was enough aircraft from the UK and South Africa that we wouldn’t need any other aircraft, it would also have taken away from domestic british designs and incurred more of the C&P haters by giving us Rafales, Mig-29s and Su-35s at top tier
There is space in the heavy fighter line however where we purposely left ranks VI to X unused for any potential subtrees that could be added, such as india or any other commonwealth, we just chose not to include it (for now at least).
Until Gaijin adds the first Indian vehicles to the researchable tree, it is unclear if it will ever be used for more than premiums, we may reevaluate this stance in the future
yes, that was the main reason this was not allowed to be posted in the suggestions section (for now) over time we plan to add new vehicles and update the existing vehicles descriptions.
A lot of them were made by me very late at night and I was working around school, work and life so please forgive me for getting complacent with some descriptions :) I’m currently working to fix all the pics in the second and third posts and will move onto updating descriptions once I have done that.
In addition to what @lxtav stated in the previous reply, we are also in the process of suggesting as many vehicles as possible. These will include a full list of armaments. For now this is what could be managed given the restraints imposed by life upon those who created the tree.
I’ll look into adding them in the future, once im finished sorting the images out I will work on a major update with new vehicles, if you have any more info feel free to DM me with it so i can begin working on them
I plan to split the GR.5 into two variants upon the first Major update, it will become the Harrier GR.5 with its full bomb loadout but limited to the AIM-9G as its best AAM, and the GR.5A to replace the T.10 with AIM-9L
as stated above I plan to move it to either Premium or event upon the first Major update
yes its the RAF version, the RhAF one has been renamed accordingly
mainly because the Spitfire Mk.24 outperforms it…
it has low fuel, and equal or worse performance than most late props
We chose to keep commonwealth and other aircraft as much as possible,as we canadian, australian, indian etc. In their own respective trees of which they have more than enough vehicles for.
Wish gaijin went with this… Now the British tree is looking to one day become the most bloated tree with lacking identity of it’s original purpose. It still annoys me that if gaijin never gave us south african tanks we might have seen gaijin forced to give us all the british light tanks by now. All these minor nations do is delay actually british vehicles from coming down the pipeline.
I mean to be honest, we got lucky with south africa, whilst yes, we have our own things we can get in ground, but there are a lot of unique and pretty good vehicles that were added with South Africa, and in air, as you can see in our tree, it has the possibility to add tons of variety beyond just the Gripen we have now.
I believe one commonwealth nation is more than enough however to give the british tree all it needs, Adding India whilst again, it offers some decent and interesting vehicles, a lot of them could be filled with our own alternatives, they could have added the T-80 britain bought and tested instead of the Bhishma and they could have added the Super Mirage from South africa that also carried R-73s.
The p1121, if it even gets added, would be unplayable at 10.0 without any flares. In addition, other aircraft’s brs you’ve added probably won’t work in the WT meta
please refer to this, we simply placed vehicles in the rough areas we thought would fit the vehicles compared to others, the P.1121 is better than the Hunters so required a higher BR, even if it isn’t Meta, Ultimately we are not Gaijin, and because we chose not to undertake the massive undertaking of Decompression (that is not what this tree is about, it’s about showing what the British tree could get in the current game situation, with some liberties).
BRs will change over time, not every vehicle is meta, sometimes it’s fun to play a vehicle that isn’t exactly perfect every game, sometimes it’s nice to take a different playstyle, going by the idea that a Vehicle won’t be meta would mean most trees would lack some very iconic aircraft, and I can assure you, a lot of these vehicles would have a place, some not in AB, some not in RB and some not in SB, but every aircraft we have added would work in at least one gamemode.
