+1, but I doubt they will add it due to them not wanting to get involved with politics

Ukrainian T-72A modified by KhKBM spotted in USA during “Northern Strike 24” event

Photo caption:

Military intelligence soldiers assigned to the 203rd Military Intelligence Battalion (Technical Intelligence), Military Intelligence Readiness Command, exploit a T-72 tank during a training mission at Camp Grayling, Michigan, Aug. 11, 2024.

Modification specifics from Btvt:

The tank is not fully outfitted - there are no emission indicators and searchlights OTSHU-1-7 and modulators (“Shtora”) on the turret. The vehicle also differs from the modification known as the T-72A(M)G by having a commander’s turret with an open-type gun turret, as on the T-72. The Kharkiv upgrades had a turret similar to the T-80UD with “Agat” and stabilization.

New Skyranger 35 on Leopard 1 base from different angle.

Photo taken by Rheinmetall AG during Skyranger Demo event (source: hartpunkt)

Part of the related article:

At Ochsenboden, about an hour and a half’s drive from Zurich, Rheinmetall also presented the Skyranger 35 on the chassis of a Leopard 1 tank. There has been speculation in the press in recent months that this vehicle could be intended for delivery to the Ukrainian armed forces.

Just like its little brother, the Skyranger 35 can also fire air-burst ammunition with its Oerlikon KDG turret gun in 35 x 228 mm caliber. The nominal rate of fire is 1,000 rounds per minute and the magazine holds 252 rounds. The turret, which apparently features key elements of the Mantis system introduced at the time for stationary use by the Bundeswehr, has four AESA antennas in S-band, each covering 90 degrees. On the turret roof, the tank has a Ku-band fire control radar and an electro-optical package. On the Skyranger 30, the task of the fire control radar is performed by an electro-optical sensor. According to reports, however, a fire control radar could also be retrofitted here if required.

To enable the crew of the Skyranger 35 to access the vehicle, the designers cut a second hatch into the chassis in addition to the driver’s hatch; after all, the turret of both Skyranger variants is unmanned.

I’ll make sure this gets added to my work in progress tree format 🤙

Did they list types of ammunition that will be provided? With its high RoF, and ammunition, I’m thinking it’s going to be pretty high in BR but ammunition capacity will limit its potential since 252rds is going to be emptied quickly. Also it’s a single barrel with the programmer at the end, maybe the source mixed up from another variant?

Twin-barrel? Huh?

fixed, thanks. Picked the wrong option while I was trying to translate “Revolver-Kanone” in Deepl

They did not list the ammunition for Skyranger 35. According to the article, the demo shooting of the drone was postponed due to technical difficulties and was completed successfully the next day off camera.

The main part of the article is focused on Skyranger 30 on Boxer base and they listed ammunition options like:

  • improved AHEAD ammunition
  • MANPADS Stinger
  • MBDA’s Small Anti Drone Missile (SADM)
  • future Diehl Defense counter-UAV weapon called a “micro missile” (currently development is in concept phase)
