I see no problem with this of course as Ukraine acquired and used these during 1991. But I don’t think they acquired and still used T-34s and IS-2s. I’m just thinking about low tier, mid tier even. We probably wouldn’t get any T-54s or maybe a T-55A.
IS-3 no, I can see argument for T-10M (maybe Ukraine acquired one in storage after independence or something like that). T-44 no, Su-100 no, T-54 probably not (maybe argument for T-54A or B)
With Israel already sucking as it is (and I can reasonably get low tier devs just too lazy) I think this would be much much harder to justify ingame.
Here’s tanks that were made in Kharkiv, Ukraine:
Of course, this list does not include the modern post soviet tanks and some prototype tanks such as Object 435 that were also made there.

Yes I know this of course, but I am saying that this would be very hard to implement ingame as the vehicles are already ingame under USSR.
The pre-independence vehicles that didn’t get transfered to Ukraine would be very hard to justify ingame, as they already technically intake under the USSR.
I’m not against this addition, I just know the company that gaijin is and you can’t just be wishful with them.
The only vehicles that could be added are obviously Ukrainian vehicles post independence and the vehicles they acquired from the Soviets. Then also maybe a FT-17 or armored cars from 1920. But that would leave a very large gap when Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union and of which already is ingame.
Maybe you could justify museum pieces to be added to fill rank 4 and maybe rank 3
I really don’t get the point of this when the tree with all of it already exists, just add Ukrainian forks that lead to independent development and don’t doesn’t mix in with the others.
I am an advocate of Ukraine being a subtree in USSR tbh, it avoids all these big problems and if we avoid giving Ukraine vehicles made by them in the USSR, I feel like it is taking away credit from the rich history Ukraine has as a developer of tanks. Almost all successful Soviet tanks have roots in Ukraine instead of russia.

If added as a Soviet subtree, all Soviet vehicles should be reshuffled to make the Kharkiv tanks into one line with modern Ukrainian tanks on top.

Yeah that is what I was thinking too, it should have a good implementation though.
I am a very big advocate of SSR flags being included in the game and not just the USSR flag. Then we could see where all these vehicles are from, and see how much more of the tree is already Ukrainian. Also the Su-25s could get the Georgian SSR flag, etc
