Ukraine Ground Forces Tree

I am in favor, although I would not like having to use a few tanks that are already in other nations. In any case, another option would be to take away the East German tanks from Germany, and add the Ukrainian tanks in their place, putting some T64BV bulat, the T84 oplot, some wheeled vehicle and some other vehicle updated by Ukraine.

+1 I would love so see a Ukrainian tree be added in at some point

Also one thing I came across online that honestly I think might be of interest of the suggestion is a interesting model of the T-80UD, not too long ago I came across images of a T-80UD with Kontakt 1 ERA which the images described as an early version, I think that would honestly be interesting to see as apart of such a tree but I don’t think it would be easy for me to find any information on those vehicles and I only found images of two vehicles however most which I found were of models however I though it might still be worth mentioning.

Definetly need to see Ukraine and other post-USSR nations better represented in the game. I think many would enjoy and prefer having options besides the soviets, especially as we enter a more current chronological era

I would main this tree the instant it would become available.

Also not to mention they would be able to get Leo’s with ERA, how cool is that?

Do not forget that the design bureau (KB-2), also known as the Kharkiv Machine Building Plant named after Malysheva, in Kharkov, Ukraine, is known for its tank designs. Here are some of them:

T-34: Kharkiv machine-building plant named after Malysheva was one of the main centers of development and production of the T-34 tank, one of the most famous and influential tanks in history. The T-34 was developed by Mikhail Koshkin and Alexei Morozov based on the KB-2 project and was equipped with advanced technical solutions, such as inclined armor and a powerful gun. (clarification Although the T-34 was “invented” in Moscow precisely in (KB-2) They brought the drawings to mind, for which the corresponding awards were received.
It is worth noting that at the beginning of World War II (Summer 1941), 60% of the capacity of the tank plant (KB-2) in Kharkov was evacuated to Nizhny Tagil to Uralvagonzavod

T-44: KB-2 also developed and produced the T-44 tank, which was developed at the end of World War II and became the successor to the T-34. And the T-44 had a lower profile, improved armor and a more powerful gun.

agreed. You cannot make a Ukraine tree without the Lend-Lease vehicles. This is on par with making a China tree without foreign vehicles.

Since OP did not mention it, for any future posters, please keep politics OUT of the thread. this is strictly for the feasibility of such a tree, and whether you would want to see it, not because of political sensitivity.

I agree, and I’m from Ukraine.
It is forbidden to discuss politics on the forum.
But by the way, this did not prevent Russian players from voting against.

Despite the IRL issue, it’s too identical to the current tech tree so I don’t think this would be a good idea unless most of the vehicles are unique.

I had no doubt that there would be a similar answer.
The problem is that when something was invented in the Soviet Union, the Russians attributed it to themselves.
And the fact that they copied the tank or worked on the equipment is also “their” merit.
Simply, if you take away from them the equipment that was invented in other countries or republics even in the Soviet Union, then the number of aircraft, equipment and fleet will be reduced by 50%
And I do not want to minimize the role of Soviet designers, but I would like to remind you that the Soviet Union is a union of countries and not “one big country”
With such logic as they have, it is possible to use a technique that is not included in the Warsaw Pact
connect into one tree of development

Remove all tanks made by Ukraine or produced by Ukraine in USSR tree and suddenly Ukrainian tech tree is both unique and almost superior besides modern stuff, and non-unique but superior if you use the same rules of added vehicles and give them all tanks that they’re also using.

It is difficult but possible, but then the branch of the USSR will be left with many tanks
Because the Ukrainian factory (KB-2) was renovated in 1895.
tanks and tractors have been built since 1927
BT-2 BT-5 BT-7 BT-7A this is John Christy (USA) original name M1931
T26 Vickers Mk E (UK)

The rest of the tanks and projects were copies or modifications of copies

Fully agreed

China gets Tawainese vehicles, and has the F16 and the M1A2T SepV2 has been passed for dev…

Absolutely would make sense. The Ukrainian Tree in my mind is essentially the USSRs version of the Israeli tree to the US.

And its funny how much this is being Polled as “No”. This is clearly only coming from politics, or people who are zealous in wanting all of these cool upgraded Ukrainian gadgets in the USSR tree. The USSR Tree is the largest powerhouse in the game in all its respects right now.

I think once the USSR tree broke post 1991, and now they turned into a modern Russian tree, the proverbial foot has been shot. There’s no way Gaijin in their right minds should ever put Ukrainian, Polish, Finnish, and Czech vehicles in that tree. The addition of the Prada shoudl be reverted, its all not needed, and a grey area

I think it will change, my previous post I posted the poll from the old forum. Over 600 people voted with a solid 2/3rds+ voting in favor.

But this is all moot once we broke 1991. Its not a USSR tree anymore, its a Russian Fed tree, which starts from the Red Army era. Thats akin to saying russia should also get Polish and Czech and Eastern german vehicles.

Just like China claims Tawain, a “Soviet claim” is no different. But the Soviet union and the warsaw pact are both dissolved. Gaijin made things wierd when they went post '91. But saying modern and independent Ukr vehicles should go into the Rus tree which is already a powerhouse or be put in a combined no longer existing warsaw tree is sort of laughable.

Another comparison is saying add Korea, Phillipines and Japan to an ASEAN tree. Terrible idea. Or N and S Korean Combined tree.

Frankly N Korea should be in the Chinese tree, and Tawain should be in a Tawainese Phillipean tree or just not in the game at all. Somethings just dont need to be added. Adding the ROC line was silly and just purely detracted from the US tree.

Also I want to apologize to everyone. Just now I was working on matching the poll to my old suggestion (I was trying to add two additional polls to include what rank and focus it should have just like the other one) since when I first posted this I was having issues. Once I fixed it, it reset the poll for everything so those who already voted will have to vote again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
