Honestly I would go further and say that neither the UK or France needed subtrees either.
then grind the better version im not advocating for unique vehicles to not be added but just reducing the amount of copy paste which would be needed to fill out a full ukraine ground tree
They probably didn’t need these sub-trees, but I believe they still would have benefited a lot from those weren’t subtrees treated like a source of endless copy-paste’ium.
Were Benelux and India introduced with more domestic(ly modified) vehicles in the TT (and not just gatekept behind paywall of premiums/events), they would have been regarded as worthy line-up extensions to those TTs… but oh well, adding 3 1:1 Leo2As in the same update is much easier.
… anyway, that’s a subject for a different topic overall
True, its disappointing the lack of effort put in
With infantry on the horizon, maybe grenade launching UGVs may help? Here’s a ThEmis with a Buria turret
(On an unrelated note, anyone got information on the AB-13s atgms?)
I pretty sure the Oplot-2M is the same as the Oplot-M, but it was just made a lot cheaper.
Supposedly better Duplet-2 ERA (lighter but at the same time better) ~ supposedly available in the one delivered to US.
…
but 2M’s proposed upgrades include 6TD-3 engine and Zaslon APS (among other minor updates) ~ these were not present in the sole model delivered to US
Sub tree but would be cool to see

what t84 is that?? ( i dont know were to ask)
Looks like an early variant, maybe an Object 478DU4 or 5? Basing it off the hull.
if it helps it took place in 2002 in trial in greece
That’s Object 478DU2.
From a rather quick search, it was the first version of DU series to receive “late” welded turret (the “early” one was used in batches of T-80UD/DUs for Pakistani forces) with thermals and new radio equipment.
Pretty much a Greek trialed version of early future Oplot.
For simplicity, can also say T-84 model 1994.
The first ‘T-84’ designation, after being developed from the T-80UD.
Created between 1994 -1995 and was first demonstrated at the IDEX-95 arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi and then appeared for the Greek tender starting in 1998.
Other than the new rolled-welded turret, upgrades included: 125mm KBA3, T01-K01E sight, TPN-4E night, Shtora-1, 6TD-2 & DVE-BS wind sensor.
The side smoke launcher array placement started with the Pakistani welded turret T-80UDs (478BE-1)
Did it get any thermals? If so what generation of thermals?
Initially Buran-E night sight.
But later for Greek tender the same tank was upgraded with Buran-Catherine-E thermal imaging sight.
Also what happened to much of the earlier t-84 variants? Were they just reused and upgraded to other variants or what happened to them?
Mostly reused for later developments. Maybe there are 1-2 DUs still somewhere as exhibits and/or stored in military warehouses.
