Slovakia’s STV Machinery has started producing new BMP-1 IFV hulls for 2026-27 for Ukraine.

" The project included complete digitalization of the design, definition of the materials used, development of new production documentation and welding fixtures. "
" Unlike the original BMP-1s, the new hulls will be made of modern armored materials used in the current production of Western-type armored vehicles. "

Mated turrets likely to be new one (for example Slovak Turra 30) :

“You were supposed to retire the BVP-1’s not start producing them again!” Also it’s BVP-1

I am curious why BMP/BVP-1 though, is it just a crew retraining thing? Are they just a cheap chassis to make?

combination of both probably

Ukraine’s proposed extensive modernization/upgrade process for T-90S Bhishma.
V-92S2 engine to be replaced by 1400HP 6TD-3 with four reverse gears, K-5 ERAs to be replaced by Duplet, TC to get PNK-6 panoramic sight, and bustle auto loader to be added to the rear of the turret.

When was this proposed? The image looks older but would’ve been a massive buff

Before 2012

Wow, so there were multiple projects with engines more powerful than 1200 6TD-2.

Sadly there was no actual “live” project with such more powerful engines. AFAIK the most powerful engine to be actually considered is 6TD-4 (1500hp) for Turkish Altay tanks, but it didn’t go further than proposals.

I wonder what other projects could’ve included 6TD-3/4

SK & NK are at war with each other so whats stopping Ukraine from going into USSR TT if a unified Korea got added?

Because North Korea doesn’t have access to the internet so no one will care

Seems like a rather poor excuse. Though I’m for neither of the former for the same reason that they make no sense. Pre-fall of USSR Ukraine is already in the TT though and that actually does.

Why is it?

The fact that Russia has plenty of domestic equipment to fill what Ukraine would fill. Also the fact that Ukraine has a lot of unique things that wouldn’t all fit into Russia without some major UI changes.

I just think the USSR doesn’t need a sub tree, same with the USA not needing South Korea. (I would go further and say Germany, UK and France don’t need subtrees either).

Even if that happens, the current 3 per line and rank limit would make it harder to fit Ukrainian vehicles while also snubbing domestic Soviet/Russian ones.

I would argue they don’t have enough unique things and it could be easily fitted in, but you misunderstood my logic. These 2 countries are at war. Adding 2 nations at war together is dumbfounded.

I get what you’re saying but two completely different geopolitical events and almost watering it down to fit the phrase. While the Korea’s are technically at war, the Korean Armistice Agreement has been in effect since the early 50’s with no hot war since. Ukraine and Russia are actively in brutal conflict. There’s also the on and off goal of the Korea’s to ‘reunify’.

Germany really needed better air options. Our best CAS was F-4F ICE and Su-22.
Then came the EF-2000 which end like the only high end aircraft.

Now at least we have Hornet with 4 agm65

This doesn’t really refute my point. They have been at war and there have been many near escalations ever since. Also NK announced in 2024 that they do not want peaceful reunification, period. I don’t see any reason they should be fighting together.

Was a bad decision. Vietnam/NK could easily fill the place, which would even make sense.
