Object 478DU

  • Object 478DU used as a test rig. This vehicle utilizes a 6TD-1 1,000hp diesel engine and T-64 chassis vice T-80UD.

  • Honestly a pretty sweet version of the Object 478DU-series. Essentially is a T-80UD turret mounted on a T-64 chassis with better engine and other upgrades.

Body is from a T-80UD as well

The fate of IFV-55

Unfortunately, the fate of the machine is to rot in the equipment cesspool in the “backyard” of the Kharkiv armored plant.

Wow. Wowwww. I’m offended. No AMX-10RC? I feel hurt, really, I do

Tbf, when I originally made the post 3 years ago, they didn’t have it and I haven’t updated too much since lol. Now though, AMX-10RC, VAB Mk. III (Sych), and many other French vehicles can definitely be taken in and added. 🤙

The Air Tree version of this already incorporated the Mirage 2000-5F 🇫🇷

Not the whole chassis but only the suspension is from the T-64, the rest is T-80UD

Personally I don’t think that Ukraine is really vast enough to truly be its own nation, since it has many similar vehicles to the USSR I believe it should be a sub-tree to the USSR; I know that’s a bit controversial since the war and all but I think that if we put that aside we could add plenty new needed vehicles to the USSR top tier due to there only truly being 5 ground vehicles you can affectively use; yes I guess the Leopard 2a6 and 2a5 would get added to the USSR tech tree but since 3 nations already have Leopards it could be considered to be fine to add only 2 or 1 leopard to the USSR tech tree as long as it’s in the sub-tree

I think you are underestimating the variety of vehicles Ukraine has produced or used, even just looking at t84s you could have a very strong high tier lineup

BM Oplot, T-84U, and the T-84-120 could all do incredibly well at top tier. If you add things like the Azov T-80U, Strv 122, etc., it would be the most powerful top tier in the game. Especially if they add the captured Pantsir.

The Yatagan and T-72-120 would probably be towards the top considering you can throw whatever western round in there. There’s even information thrown out there of tests completed with like DM63 APFSDS-T and several others.

Every round except DM73, since it requires L55A1 gun, and can’t be fired from standard L44/L55 guns

I’ve seen a lot of conflicting info on this. Is the Object 478DU a T-80UD chassis with T-64 running gear or a T-80UD turret on a T-64 hull? The exhaust seems to be more pointing to it being a T-64 than a T-80UD, but I’ve seen a lot of others say it’s a T-80UD hull.

It’s a T-80UD with the chassis of a T-64. The engine exhaust is a bit different because of the newer engine. It threw me off for a bit too lol. Honestly, should just convert T-64’s into the Oplot standard considering there’s so many of them.
