Well here’s a different image lol
That’s more like it lol. The Object 477 Molot is a beautiful vehicle.
yeah i just meant like how the ammo was stored and thats the first thing that came to mind lol. its defenitly an intreseting vehicle
Might be a different gun, the 2A73 (this is what the Molot mounted), which is also 152mm but is an earlier and presumably less powerful gun than 2A83.
Well ammo compartmentalization wasn´t yet a design priority. As the decade went forward, more and more prototypes started going in that direction, eventually leading to Object 195.
It may, but after some searching the testbed seems to be linked to the Object 195.
The main weapon of Object 477 was the 152-mm LP-81 cannon. Separate-loading ammunition was specially developed for the gun, including sub-caliber shells with a total length of 1350 mm.
seems cool, my initial thought was to say no, but Yontzee’s hard work has payed off and successfully convinved me that this tt is not copy and paste. It is a +1 for me. o7
Oddly enough, this is not the only modification, here are some more photos:
Spoiler
Judging by one of the pictures, there are total of 4 of the, “ahim”, “bang”, “cherep” and “bereg”. As seen by the wheel base those are ex-russian T-55’s, probably units that captured those didn’t saw any use of them as tanks, so they did this modification in one of theirs field garages.
‘‘Well akchually’’ Those are the BTS-4A tractors based on the T-54 chassis.
I managed to find an article on “Militarnyi” regarding those.
Oh really, thanks.
Nah bro. That`s definitely not T-72 with bigger gun. Just look at the chassis.
We were speaking about this.
Got it. I not noticed this pic, my bad
We have BMP-1M in the honorable mentions, but there are no photos. I did a little searching on the Internet and found two BMP-1Ms:
- BMP-1M with the “Shkval-A” module (2011)
Detailed info
BMP-1M (first) at the IDEX-2011 exhibition in Abu Dhabi:
BMP-1M (first) on parade in Turkmenistan. 2016:
The BMP-1U was developed into the BMP-1M variant (also known as “Object 765UTB”), which was first shown in February 2011 at an exhibition in Abu Dhabi. Its main difference is the improved KBA-105TB “Shkval-A” combat module, in which the Kontest ATGM was replaced by the Ukrainian Barrier (the missile launch range increased from 2000 to 5000 meters), the OTP-20 optical-television system was replaced by the new Tandem-2 system, and an improved SVU-500-3C weapon stabilizer was installed. "Tandem-2 includes two television cameras - a narrow field of view (6 km range of detection of a tank-type target, 5 km recognition range) and a wide field of view (3 km range of detection of a tank-type target), as well as a laser rangefinder. The combat capabilities of the Tandem-2 system are limited due to the lack of a thermal imager, although its cameras can operate in low light.
The BMP-1M was offered for export by ZhBTZ, but without much success. As far as is known, a batch of these vehicles was sold only to Turkmenistan, and this transaction was not included in the arms trade reports submitted to the UN. Neither the delivery time nor the number of vehicles sold is known. The only evidence of the presence of BMP-1Ms in Turkmenistan was their demonstration at a military parade in 2016.

- BMP-1M with the “Spear-Synthesis” module (2021)
Detailed info

The updated BMP-1 is equipped with a modern ramp instead of the usual two doors-tanks of the landing compartment. It is also noticeable that the height of the hull of the combat vehicle has been slightly increased.
The landing gear compartment has become more spacious and comfortable for military personnel. Traumatic individual seats for troops are located along the sides of the vehicle, which makes it impossible to fire personal small arms from the loopholes, which was possible in BMP-1 before its modernization.
The modernized BMP also differs from the Soviet model in the presence of an advanced combat module “Spys-Synthesis” developed and manufactured by the company "NPK “Tekhimpex”.
The “Spys-Synthesis” is equipped with the Synthesis fire control system from Digital Technologies. The new fire control system includes a Kazhan-3K15 OEM, two television cameras, a thermal imager, a laser rangefinder, and a new weapon stabilizer.
The Synthesis system features automatic target acquisition and tracking.
Unlike the Soviet BMP-1, the Spys-Synthesis has a much larger and more modern list of weapons.
It includes a 30-mm ZTM-1 main automatic gun, a 7.62-mm machine gun, a 30-mm automatic grenade launcher KBA-117 (AGS-17), two launchers (four guided missiles) of modern and powerful Barrier ATGMs from the Luch Design Bureau.

So which one are we talking about? 🤔
I’ll be updating this in the near future. Real world caught up. Stay tuned and feel free to share your own renditions of the tree 🫡
Big no from me, reasons being: Vastly limited amount of unique vehicles.
The only way I can see this being implemented is as subtree to the ussr since Ukraine is a successor state to it. And due to the said unique vehicles having soviet origin.
It was explained million times why it isn’t possible to implement Ukraine as a sub tree to Soviet TT (not political, gameplay-wise), I won’t go over again. This way I’ll go insane.
