Now the information is displayed in top left corner (airspeed, altitude etc…) is it possible to move this section? More preferred location would be bottom mid, below plane’s instruments.
If so, it should be optional: I would not want that info in the bottom mid, where it would obstruct the cockpit instruments.
Enough below not to obstruct plane’s instruments. It’s ok if you know your plane and can check your speed etc… from instruments quickly, but if you don’t you need to check your speed from top left corner which is bad.
If you put it so far down that it doesn’t obstruct your instruments, you’ll have to move your head even more than now…
I fly in VR exclusively, and to have that HUD even low in the center would not work at all for me.
Note also that those GUI elements are on a different “focus level” of your VR headset, meaning they seem to be at a different distance. That’s already very exhausting when you activate the action bar, or read messages, as the eyes strain to try to focus on different focus levels.
I’d actually prefer to have the HUD, RWR and radar screen overlays off, and only see the instruments on the panel.
Problem however is that RWR in many aircraft do not scale properly so contacts at the outer ring are just not visible.
Now one has the possibility to “disable HUD”, but doing that also removes all graphical stuff like all text and crosshairs etc. on TV/IIR seekers and TGP’s.
It’s really not handled well in WT… = /
