I don’t have the specifics on hand rn, but I recall hearing that the various prototypes that led up to the M41 were actually more advanced than the production model in some ways. Some had features like autoloaders, rangefinders etc.
Edit: T41 had stabilizer 👀

The T41 light tank was the direct ancestor of the M41, but “ancestor” does not mean “outmoded”! Compared to the production Bulldog, it had a two-plane stabilizer, a coincidence rangefinder, a fire control computer, and several extra machine guns. Three of these prototypes were built, and after several improvements (and simplifications, including the removal of all the aforementioned advanced features) to the design, the Walker Bulldog was born.

Good point. If they’re cool with it then I’m cool with it.
True… but they can find their place at 4.X after M24, which partially addresses the lower part of the gap.
If the reload is faster than the M18, then the caliber size doesn’t matter. I can agree with the placement of 4.7 BR.
What BR would you place this at?

Just as the M24 was entering production in early 1944, a new prototype of the Chaffee was authorized. Named the T24E1, it was rebuilt off the original T24 prototype by the American Car & Foundry Company, starting on 15 March 1944. After work was completed, it was transferred to Aberdeen Proving Grounds for testing on 10 October.
Compared to the production M24, the T24E1 lacked a commander cupola and had a removable double baffle muzzle brake, but the main feature that set t…
I hope it comes with a .50 cal even though it wasn’t pictured with one.
Looks like it has the same turret as M24 series prototype and that one was seen with roof .50
4.0 is ideal, and 4.3 is the maximum for its potential BR placement.
The thread of that suggestion found a photo of the tank still retaining the mount at the rear of the turret.

Now that would be cool at 4.0 with APCR.

T37 would be great fun. Several different Pilot vehicles could be added too.

Sure would! I don’t think there’s a suggestion for it though
Bro Germany just ignores light tanks and has spgs instead. Also what tank would fill the gap?
It looks incredibly similar to the chaffee
Most easy solution is move 234/2 to Rank III and someday also add Pz.Sfl.II 7,5 cm K.37 L/40.

That is at 3.7
And then until 6.7 Germany doesn’t have a light tank
I included photos of T24 to show prototypes could still have the .50 cal, and that is (as you point out) simply a M24 but without commander cupola.
The T24E1 however had same engine as M18 Hellcat, you can tell by the enlarged engine compartment:
T24 = M24 prototype with no commander cupola
T24E1 = T24 with engine from M18 Hellcat

M24 should already be 4.3, but Gaijin doesn’t see it that way.
ASU-85 isn’t 7.3.
Is this thread enought for gaijin to add new light tank to u.s tree or we should open new thread on suggestios?
