There is huge hap between two scout tanks, m24 and m18… for this reason U.S lacks scouting capabilities in ground battles.
the US is missing scouting capabilities in ground battles?
have you ever looked at the german tech tree?
Add scouting capable tanks to both nations…
so what tank should they add, that would fit inside those gaps?
germany dosent have a tank that is able to scout from 3.7 to 6.7
Thats cute.
light tank gaps in:
germany from 3.7-6.7
USSR 2.3-5.3, then there isnt another until 7.3
is this the new “America has no SPAA” whining
If germany has a massive gap of something with how babied that tree is any other tree can shuddup lets be real
like what could they even hypothitically add in that “gap”
I mean the M1919 and M42 have the annoying rat light tank covered for that gap in the american tree and i think all SPAA systems should have scouting
Israel dosnet have a light tank from 7.7 to 11.3 btw
technically they also dont have any light vehicles from 1.0 up to 7.0 for obvious reasons
They get an AML-90 which is brilliant, and then a merkava with no turret. Its just sad man
I expected to see a list of what the US could get, not them being told to shut up.
Puma…
I’m sorry if it comes across as rude. My intention was simply to point out what the thread is about.
As for ideas, there’s this thing:
Proto-Hellcat, same mobility but with even thinner armor and 57mm gun
That thing would probably only be about 4.0 since it’s got a very good gun and hp/t but the pure performance isn’t all that much better.
Hmmm I don’t think I see it. Hellcat is the BR it is because of the mobility, and this thing is supposed to be similar
Exactly, the whataboutism here is off the charts. The issue with the US tree is valid, and it’s perfectly reasonable to make a thread to highlight a gap in it.
One option to address this would be the addition of the M7 Medium Tank. Don’t let the designation fool you, the M7 was originally conceived as the T7 Light Tank and intended to replace the M5 Stuart. However, its weight increase led to a reclassification as a medium and functioned as a light-medium tank. It’s still highly mobile, more so than the Shermans. Gaijin could reasonably place it with scouting ability.
Otherwise, a much stronger candidate to fill this gap would be the M38 Wolfhound with the M24 turret.
Hellcat also has the M1 76mm gun so It can hit hard and run fast. The T49 while having a very good mobility also has a 57mm which while better than the 75mm in the Chaffee it’s not the 76.
Yeah that sounds about right. I agree T49 is worse than M18 but maybe not two whole BR steps
BRs are difficult to nail down but IMO it could end up being 4.7
