I mean if a game made together by bunch of little kids can create an 3-axis stabilizier in roblox, then a multi-million-dollar company shall do it easily.
i mean, that was mostly code copied from Enlisted. adding another plane of rotation is almost certainly easier than troubleshooting all that C&P that didnt translate right.
Im pretty sure i said this on your panther X-ray rework but gaijin genuinely should hire you. You clearly know how the engine works enough to make things function and how to make things accurately.
Yes ofcourse I wouldnt compare it to roblox because roblox is a very simple system using Lua for programming while war thunder is probably more complex its easy to say ofcourse If I would go in and try to create a tank like this in lets say unity and that being the main focus being a 3 axis stabilized turret its alot more simple. but Gaijin has seasoned developers who have been doing this for 10 years plus it should defiently be within the realm of possibility.
I wouldnt say that I know the engine well the inner workings of this game is still very much an enigma for me. what I do know is how to implement models into the game and how to use exisitng game functions to innovate and psuh the game to its best. What I did was basically a code less solution the game sadly doenst allow you to modify like basic code like that ofcourse due to its multiplayer nature and these restricions make you have to get creative with finding solutions for problems.
I personally dislike the money excuse this is a premium tank afterall which cost like 50€ it pretty much pays for itself and being advertised with such a feature it is basically its only reason to have existed in the first place it is in the name, they made the decision to add this vehicle to the game which it is a unique vehicle dont get me wrong, but then omitting the main feature of this tank even tho it would have been an amazing sales pitch. There have been new features added that are seemingly more or as complex like on the Churchill Crocodile which was for a battlepass which they created flamethrowers and the trailer mechanic which has only been used on that tank and the flamethrorwer on 2 other vehicles then we have the Elde 98 and the vehicles that have trailers but they use another trailer system different from the Churchill one due to the nature of needing to be part of the same vehicle instead of being a seperate one. which none of those are premium so money cannot be a factor I refuse to believe it honestly.
We already have 3-axis stabilization in the form of TGP sights in game, so they most certainly can do it. The only reason they didn’t do it for this was just sheer laziness or out of fear of introducing bugs to the game.
It’s 2026 now, and the bar for details has been set extremely high. If some 14 year old can do it in Roblox (and humiliate them) so can Gaijin and its hundred of devs division.
thats pretty much all thats needed for implementing new vehicles and fixing bad modelling of pre-existing ones. unless its using a completely new mechanic such as anti radiation missiles diving into the deep code isnt needed.
WT needs refreshes of its current content more than new stuff nowadays so your skills are still very valuable
Thank you I am glad the community appreaciates my work.
Like the first version I’d say like 1-2 hours if i exclude just exclude the placing of emitters and stuff maybe Total 3 hours overall including testing back and forth expermentation of the finetuning counting just work time Ig
Puma was like that for 2 years maybe when they will add it to Germany it will be fixed (so never)
that doesnt take too long to do not even having to make a different model does make things alot easier
