TT F-16AM for France still does not have SNIPER ATP ; and RADAR HMD bugged. Bug reports are being silenced

Thanks for the clarification.

Will contact some of the technical moderators o7

It can indeed take those; I went with my university to visit the Florennes Air Base.
We went into the F-16 hangers, ans the ones that were going under a last checkup before flying indeed had the Sniper Pod; I did as soon as I got home a suggestion (and on other modern aircraft), but it was refused.
Here are a picture I took:
Sorry for the blue line, I had to do that if I wanted to keep the pictures.

(Notice the Aim-9X :D )

Had a friend who worked as a crew chief back then ; he was also a spotter on his free time and mind you the DoD didn’t allowed him to take pictures of our 9X for “security reasons” xd

Im also wondering if in the future the BAF will use the upcoming AIM-120C8 on our F-16AM… or if they would be scrapped before that or if they are not compatible with the platform.

Yeah now it changed, when I asked a guy explaining the basic armament, I asked since when we had 9X, since it is pretty recent (I was refering to the block 2) but he said it was there since more than 20y, so it means it is a block 1.
But the F-35 are unapprochable, even do they will be flying in 2 wees (I’ll be there :D at the Florennes air show).
We cannot even take pictures of the part of the base around the F-35 and Reaper where there is as well the command center.
It is painted in white and blue with abit of black, maybe some sort of modern camo.

BAF and security reasons lol

Asked my friend about the 9X ; told me he got sources saying we got a few of those (live not inert) a few years ago ; like 10/15y ago

It’s especially strange because the Norwegian F-16 at the same BR already has the Sniper pod. It also looks like the premium F-16 that was changed to a Dutch variant will receive the Litening pod instead of the Sniper, even though, to my knowledge, both the Belgian and Dutch Air Forces also operated their F-16s with the Sniper pod’s. That said, I can’t complain too much, since the Litening is already a significant upgrade over the LANTIRN.

I also wonder whether the Dutch F-16 will receive an HMD. The Norwegian F-16 uses essentially the same model of helmet and already has one, while the Belgian F-16s, despite using the more advanced Scorpion helmet-mounted cueing system, still don’t have any HMD implemented at all.

For the F16 HMS all I can say is to ask gunjob or another tech mod to bump one of the better informed HMS reports or ask one of the Norsk player who did their bug reports and see if they have any sources available you could add.

Iirc the HMS source for the Norsk one also mentioned the Belgian F16 was affected

The F-16AM premium was originaly intendeed probably as an “early” AM MLU ; as the livery shown a “FS” on the tail which was only present a while ago

Honestly i don’t know if it is a bug ; or something made by Gaijin as we operate both Scorpion HMCS & JHCMS helmets ; and doc is a bit clusmy if radar HMD is enabled or not

That’s why some of the Belgian F16’s were originally denied was because of the Radar HMD reports being uncertain in answering if that was possible iirc.

tbh i have no clue as i have seen no official statement from Gaijin nor response in the bug tickets made over the other website

Interesting, do you have proof of this? Consider making a bug report.

I know we bought over 100 of the AIM-120C-8…

I found this info:

Missile Period on Belgian F-16s Guidance Notes
AIM-120B AMRAAM ~1995–present (inventory status uncertain today) Active radar First AMRAAM variant publicly documented in Belgian service. Belgium purchased 72 AMRAAMs in 1995–96 and later acquired additional stocks. Some AIM-120Bs were later donated to Ukraine.
AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM 2023 onward Active radar Approved for Belgian F-16AM and F-35A fleets. 120 missiles approved under FMS. Essentially an export-standard AIM-120D-class missile.

Belgium - Belgische Luchtmacht/Force Aérienne Belge - Belgian Air Force - BAF - F-16.net “Belgium - Belgische Luchtmacht/Force Aérienne Belge - Belgian Air Force - BAF - F-16.net
Belgium approved for extended-range AMRAAMs for F-16s, F-35s “Belgium approved for extended-range AMRAAMs for F-16s, F-35s”

Oh and good to see another Belgian concerned with Belgian vehicles.

Other Belgian vehicles also deserve some love

For the AIM-120B i had some insider information about it ; i do need to find proper sources as insider sources are not valid x)

Indeed ; i try to foward stuff as much as possible when it is somewhat related to Belgium as in my eyes the BeNeLux tree is realy sad to see in his current state

Sent over a message to Technical moderators ; was left on read for now :/

If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list ( You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure) ) to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one of the moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.

Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve added all the regular moderators with no answer then you can add the seniors.

They also need to add MFDS, EHSI, and remodeled RWR. The cockpit is so sloppy…

The update seems to be realy close ; but i have yet to have any response.

Added a few modderators over the span of 2 days by interval ; nothing

All moderation teams are volunteers, we have normal jobs/school/families/hobbies/etc. A response might take a while. It’s been 4 days since i wrote that post, so if you’ve followed the instructions there should be like 3 moderators in your message out of the total of 19 (14 regular and 5 Seniors). It’s really not that long to wait for a response especially also over a weekend at the start of summer.

AIM-120A and B in game are identical, and if an aircraft can use the B it can use the A. This means both are valid and legitimate on the vehicle.

For the Sniper TGP, it counts as armament so it is passed as an internal suggestion rather than a bug. A bug would be if the vehicle has something it cannot use, not something it can use. E.G. the F-16C could theoretically use AIM-120Ds, but that’d move it up.

Well other F-16AM at the same BR has the Sniper ATP ; so that shouldn’t be an issue

Checked the newest update ; atp the TT one is a worse performing premium /hj
