What would there be for them to do? All a B-29 can do here is stay in formation and fly straight without crashing into others. That’s basically impossible for the average WT player.

i dont agree with sabres getting bombs, every game where i have seen the soviets successfully destroy all bombers they still lose because the sabres bomb the base instead.
Would be the Korean War if the P/F-80’s, F-82, F4U, P-51s, and their Soviet counterparts that did see the Korean War were also available cause F-86’s and MIG-15’s were not the only aircraft.

So… you cant actual take part in this event unless you have 1 of the 2 said aircraft.
Great way to make sure the playerbase is actually included and can all take part and provide feedback…

@Stona_WT Prohibit the use of bombs on the US side, players are just bombing the airfield instead of trying to shoot down the MiGs, it really goes against the spirit of the mode. Also any info on bullet hell please?

okay tried the event a little bit, it’s horrendous to play. migs don’t fight and only B line the bombers, and both planes are horrendous if you’re stock with them (literally unplayable). It could be a great event, but gaijin didn’t think it through enough.

That’s their task - to shot down all the B-29.
If they miss even one, they will lose.
It’s been a great opportunity to experience Realistic Air if you main arcade. Nuclear Thunder for April Fools was also an excellent opportunity for those new to Realistic. I used that to Spade the Mig25, this one to Spade the Mig15. We got B52s, TU85s and SL crates afterwards too. We need to let things develop.
There’s more to Dogfighting in an Interception match. The Mig15 side feels like you’re playing linebacker, the bombers got the ball and sabres are coming in for the block as linemen, super neat experience. Shame it’s based on true events, truly a bad day for everybody. Remember why we play, to Experience.

yeah, no, the setting is UTTER garbage. You spawn in front of the migs, that just evade you, and rush the bombers, and if you’re not full the plane are so heavy you can barely manoeuver to try to align them whie they only have to hit the b29s. you cannot play the event, and there’s no fun at all. Was it that hard to have at least the planes already spaded, and maybe, i don’t know a better spawn, like migs having to go UP slowing them down and not down making them zoom full speed? there’s nothing defending this event outside from it’s a “good initiative from gaijin”.
You are getting a spaded aircraft in the event itself. And zooming in a head-on against MiG is not the smartest idea. MiG-15 is faster than a Saber, you won’t catch it if you’re the one who has to turn after a head-on. Event itself is plenty fun, most of the people just refuse to use their brain.
The only silly part I found is that to win easily US team has to do the most US main thing in the game - strap their fighter to the brim with bombs and do a base bombing instead of being a functional part of the team.

i heavily doubt that seeing how unresponsive the plane is.
you can’t do anything else, if you climb they zoom past you and you loose your advantage of height when turning over, if you stay with the bombers, you still have a very hard time hitting the migs because of compression, and you’ll mostly do hits. If you use your airbrake, you’re too slow to catch the migs that go full speed, climb like crazy and dive again on the bombers. Only strat is to align the migs when they are alinging to get the bombers from the back.
it’s not, you fight your own plane way more than the ennemy, its frustrating, not fun, mig15bis and f86f would have been okay
especially the mig players that B line the bombers, zoom climb, and dive back in full speed making interception incredibly hard because they have no reason to do otherwise
found the issue with the event: it’s bugged. The saber is more responsive with bombs under the wing that without.
If you are flying the MiG then destroying the bombers is the sole objective…
100% skill issue on your part, my MiG-15 was completely stock when I started and I’ve only lost 3 matches out of 24.
One thing I have noticed is that mod RP doesn’t carry over tot he next mod…
Other than that I can’t see anything wrong with the event, the Sabers are perfectly capable of winning when they prioritize the MiG’s that are actually attacking the bombers, the fact that they generally don’t do this is a player issue rather than a gamer issue.
