True but would it really have been that hard to give a permanent keepsake reward like a skin for a mig-15 and F-86?
This event is really nice and a step in the right direction but I would suggest that the bombers be spawned in multiple waves instead to give a chance for dogfights in between and to give America a better chance since they can’t properly defend right now

The games I’ve been at least have been complete sweeps in the soviets favor where the migs just rush the bombers and the sabers have a hard time catching up at this alt

They should get rid of the 3 respawns in RB so players stop engaging in suicidal head-ons or respawning just because they ran out of ammo.
Not to mention the F-86A’s engine, which is seriously sluggish in the game (that’s a whole other issue).
They need to make the B-29 more durable and, for crying out loud, stop having the bombs explode inside the bomb bay it’s the most unrealistic mechanic in the game.
And besides, if the F-86s are carrying bombs, you can destroy the Russian airfield before the B-29s do xD

So um if it’s supposed to be based on Black Thursday why does the US get F-86s when they were actually using F-84s for escorts at the time? The Soviets have to deal with equivalent fighters and also the bombers, doesn’t seem fair. This could have been much more interesting if it was a numerically superior team of F-84s vs a smaller team of more powerful MiGs.

I literally have less than 100 RP on both the F-86 and mig-15 combined, I can sadly only watch from the window.
Maybe next week you can make it Yak-9Ps and Tu-2s vs P-51D-30s at lower altitudes?

Entirely a player skill issue unfortunately; most US players get greedy for kills and drawn away from the bombers chasing MiGs, allowing 2 or 3 MiGs to farm the B-29s completely uncontested.
Every match I’ve seen where the Americans know or are reminded of how bomber escort works it’s been an easy US victory.

Also, are rewards lower than Air RB or am I tripping?
Maybe you can grind these mid tier jets instead? It doesn’t take that long even as F2P if you farm out the module research bonuses.
This event just feels like a lost opportunity for Gaijin to grant long needed structural buffs to bombers. Mig 15s just one tap these B-29s with ease.
