For migs do mow phantoms down in every single match, while sovs cant win a match for game end bugs
The mode is enjoyable however:
- Fully loaded F-4Es fighting against MiG-21Bis is horrible, even a clean F-4E will struggle against it. Having to do SEAD while also evading contact is borderline impossible.
- ZSU-23-4Vs are way too accurate. They will instantly snipe you from 4km+ away and will only radar lock after you have already died.
- Heli damage models are still bs, losing all weapons capability because of a single hit is a horrid game mechanic.
The redfor really should have MiG-21PFMs or any other early variant, it is absurd having 21Bis in this
Perhaps take a note from vietnam and fly on the deck it should prevent the ZSU from accurately tracking you, also prevents the Sams from attacking you

SEAD without HARMs? Disappointing.
I can’t help but wonder if a certain…“First in, Last out” cinematic was the inspiration for this but cool mission nonetheless.
The reward and spawn cost system appears to be based on the sim one

That is exactly the problem I am describing, they will snipe you without getting a radar lock, terrain masking wont help either because they track through it

And how exactly am I supposed to destroy the SAM sites in a helicopter if I’m not in their range?
They should be firing at 2km but they magically can shoot up to 4km in this mode
With hydras? Scout their location put down a marker, aim at the marker, done, dead sams. This isn’t difficult.
i wanna say my opinion:
- migs radar is basicly blind on this terrain in therms of detecting lowflying aircraft
- optical detection is very difficult against lowflying enemy
- SAM force attackers to hug the ground
- many players abandon the event once they see spawnin costs sl
- map feels way to unbalanced, the sam sides as middle of map feels wrong
- if not selecting a spawn there is no random spawning mechanic
Sadly AI does not care about ground. ZSUs keeps tracking across mountains and will achieve instant hit right when you emerge
Is it that expensive?
Is it again the case with “100 players vs 3 players” in matchmaking, like all previous events?
Was expecting a few skins as rewards cuz the default F-4E is blank and the alternative only adds a shark mouth to the default skin. But instead there’s no prize :(
