I would like to report a critical issue with the Trophy Active Protection System (APS) on two Israeli vehicles: the Merkava Mk.4M and the Namer Tshirion. Currently, the Trophy system on both of these vehicles is not working as intended. Even though the system visually activates and reacts to incoming threats, it completely fails to intercept missiles that are well within its stated operational limits.
During both multiplayer battles and test drive sessions, I noticed that when a missile is fired at either of these tanks, the Trophy system detects it and launches its interceptors. However, the missile is never destroyed — it continues on its path and hits the vehicle as if nothing had happened. This behavior happens even with very basic ATGMs, such as the test missile used in the APS test zone. These are slow and simple missiles, with a battle rating around 8.0, and should pose no problem for a modern APS like Trophy.
To confirm the issue, I tested it multiple times in the APS test zone. In every case, the Trophy system launches its countermeasure, indicating that it registers the threat and attempts an interception. Despite this, the missile is never stopped. It flies right through the interception attempt and impacts the vehicle. This is not just a visual glitch — the missile always hits the tank and causes damage or would do so in a real match.
It’s important to mention that other vehicles with APS in the game don’t show this problem. The issue appears to be specific to the Merkava Mk.4M and the Namer Tshirion. That suggests there’s something wrong in the implementation of the Trophy system for these two tanks — possibly in how the game handles the missile interception or the timing of the countermeasures.
I believe this is a serious bug, as it severely undermines the defensive capabilities of two high-tier vehicles that rely heavily on their APS to survive in battle. I recommend that the developers investigate the interception logic, especially in how it’s applied to these specific vehicles, and ensure that the Trophy system not only activates but actually destroys incoming threats when they fall within its operational parameters.
