I’m currently pretty broke, and I have a handful of wagers that look very tasty, especially the unstoppable ones with its max reward of 500k. However, my best attempt so far was getting antimech with the Etendard, which gets a ballistics computer and a bunch of decent rockets, but it’s not quite it since you get bullied by everyone and are competing with the fighters of your team.
So, any idea what I should do? France is the only tree I’ve grinded to rank 7, and I don’t see many others options there
For getting Thunderer, I usually take my best performing plane and get the battle to a stage where there are few enemy threats left, and just ground pound at the end (I use the Ho 229 for that). My best performing French planes above rank 2 would be the Etendard, F-84G, F8F-1B. The VB.10C-1, M.B.157, and P-63C are also good at AA, but may not be appropriate for the wager as you are a bit more dependent on your team’s performance.
For the Etendard, I’d suggest learning how the flaps work, as it turns this plane into a monster turner, with energy loss covered by really strong acceleration.
Below 840 KMH IAS you can use combat flaps, below 390 KMH IAS you can use landing flaps. At all speeds you can edge the flaps to get a bit more from the flaps, but be careful to not rip them at lower speeds or get into the compression zone at higher speeds.
I would suggest trying the Mission Maker wagers (both 3 and 10 stage variants). I usually do it on the Strikemaster, because it gets a forward spawn and I can usually guarantee first and last strikes, but you could probably do that in the F-84G.
I know how to use the Etendard, I meant I get bullied if I don’t focus on fighting planes, and if I do, well, others will take all the ground targets…
Do you think it’s a good idea to start by fighting and destroying bots around the end of the match? I haven’t really considered this
Stay out of battle until the furball goes away
Once all the fighting disperses go in single passes to destroy AI ground emplacements, trying to maximize destruction while keeping speed
After that pull out of battle, wait roughly one minute and return, flee if any fighter is near and try to pick off AI planes as they still count, if there’s any.
If you miss any pass just move on and finish it off later, use guns for howitzers/AI planes and rockets for anything else. The anti air guns and the pillboxes are rarely targeted so I’d recommend focusing on them before anyone else gets there first
On armored columns, hit the first 2 tanks with rockets to immobilize the whole road, then pick it off south to north in a lower speed pass and try to keep rocket precision, aim for the lightly armored light tanks and the trucks.
If needed, use lower rank vehicles (not too low as it’d still be hellish)
Try the “destroy 5 units” wagers on ground battles
They have 2x in GRB, which means you only need to kill 3 enemies.
YOU ONLY NEED 1 RANK III VEHICLE
You can take the 3.3 sherman and M10 and the rank III 3.3 P-63, it will count as a rank III as long as you spawn the P-63.
Aircraft kills also count into this wager, which means you can kill 1-2 people with a tank, spawn a fighter, kill braindead CAS players, strafe 1-2 open tops. and the wager is done so.
repeat 3 times to win 100k
The lowest you can go is 2.3 BR with the rank III XF5F sky rocket which is a 2013 rare event vehicle or the Hs 129 B-2 (Romania) for germany also at 2.3.
lowest F2P option is 3.0 britain with the Mosquito FB Mk XVIII (57mil one) as your rank III, really helps that britain has a pretty large 3.0 line up
if you are really want you can also try the 10 kills wager, in which you only need to kill 5 people. For the juicy 500K SL
Just look for 3.3 or 3.7 rank IIIs in both aviation and army to cram into a lineup and make the largest lineup you can to ensure those 3-5 kills.
If you want thunderer. Just fly the 3.3 firefly. It’s basically a 2.7 fighter, kill a crap ton of AI and then kill everyone who comes across your paths with headons.
But air battles is very unreliable for this, just play tanks, a lot more chances are given to you per battle.
