I just want to ask this even though you probably don’t have an anwser for it, will we get account transfer from playstation to PC ever again, like even in a few years could gajin finally make a automated system?

Ok, so the publishers of the games like Fortnite and minecraft and others are allowed to have transfers because they have leverage, they are corporate giants. Games like Helldivers have transfers/cross-play purely because the players review bombed the hell out of both Sony and Helldivers. Gaijin is big, yes, but are miniscule compared to Sony, Gaijin HAS NO leverage to convince Sony to change their policies/agreements
Excuse me @gromvoiny, what problems does the transfers have exactely? We know to rule out requests because it has just about been 3 years, we know you are unwilling to bring it back and we truly appreciate the transparency that you have brang with your return. So how about it? Can we please have some insight on what the exact problems are with the transfers?

A. Tell me how big Gaijin is and theyre player count compared to Sony and Epic. B. It is good to know the exact problem from the Dev themselves . C. When i said transparent, i meant that he was at the very least not giving us the same old “someday” tag and gave us some actual info like the fact he was the one that made the transfers. D. Do you know what the exact problems are? By the sound of things, its more then one singular reason.

It’s outrageous that the devs feel that we’re at fault for playing on a console and then wanting to change it and demand an hability that already existed but they just refuse to give it to us without reason, so much its even harming their earnings, since the a lot of people want to transfer because one, they want to access the marketplace, and second they want to buy packs/golden lions without the cut from the console market.
What is the problem? this type of service is basic account stuff.

Well… guess i got my hopes up when he finally came back to “answer” us. It has been a while since he has been here, so looking back again at his recent comments dont make him look as professional as he should have been. Its also good to just try and get an actual reason for what problems are stopping this. even if i know i am being ignored, they cannot come back to me/us saying that we never asked

What we did was removing the need to bind the email from the console in order to play with the same account in PC version (otherwise how you would login even though you have an account on Gaijin servers already). Nowadays you don’t have to and can use console oAuth instead.
Linking itself was always automated, without creating account on our end during your very first login you wouldn’t be able to play any of our games from consoles. I mean, all third-party online games work this way.

Im glad you were able to take the time and manpower to automate this.
The time would have probable been better spent automating the transfer service though, rather than forcing every console user into this situation.
Yes they do, congrats you got it half right with your system.
Now make it fully work like the other games.

Hey everyone and hey Gaijin team,
First of all, I really appreciate everything that goes into maintaining and updating War Thunder – it’s clear a lot of work goes into this game.
I wanted to bring up the console-to-PC account transfer topic again, not to complain, but genuinely hoping for a small update. I know the process was suspended in May 2024 due to the high volume of requests, and I completely understand that building a proper automated system takes time and resources.
I did reach out to support as well, but they understandably referred me here since this is where the community discussion lives.
Many of us have years of progress on our console accounts and would love to fully experience the PC side of War Thunder – the Gaijin store, the marketplace, all of it. We’re not asking for free stuff, just a fair way to access what we already have.
If there’s any chance of a small status update – even just a “we’re still looking into it” – that would mean a lot to the community. A lot of us are quietly waiting and checking back regularly.

You can still play on PC, but im pretty sure that most if not all purchases you make you have to log on to PS. What i am saying is that you can bind your email to the account and use that to get into war thunder on Steam, but you dont have the full benefits of PC, like the Marketplace for instance. On the PS side, its not that much better. Not only do you no longer get to keep PS exclusives (which will be said), but you are forced to keep your console to “verify” purchases even if you arent buying through PS

and you dont get premium time from ps5 pacs on pc (idk why but they will not tell us anyway)
