Transfer of console-created accounts suspended until further notice

I would love to purchase the VT1-2 from the marketplace. But because gaijin paused this transfer feature indefinitly I guess gaijin doesn’t want my money

This forum is so long that I can’t figure out WHY exactly transfers stopped

basicly gaijin is too lazy to get more labour force

I swear it was more complicated than labour shortages

nah its cause they didnt have enough people for such a long process

basically the way Gaijin handled the transfers was very bad and slow for the amount of people wanting to transfer.

It is best to ask @AgentGibbs4351-live because he understands the situation better than me

it can easily be automated, some people even wrote a script for it from what ive heard.

The simple answer here is that Gaijin would rather add vehicles than take the week or 2 of time it would take to automate this process.
Each time the transfers close it has always been do to the amount of people using the service. Gaijin obviously knew people would want the service, and took the time to automate the account linking to the extent that is is done automatically anytime a console account is created without the person knowing now, but chose not to give any thought or consideration to long term players wanting to switch to PC from console fully.

It is also not that common knowledge that if you start playing other Gaijin games on PC, like CrossOut or StarConflict, if you do get the opportunity to transfer your WarThunder account you will lose all of your progress and purchases in the other games completely.
So this transfer issue blocks us from those games aswell.

There never was a script wrote.
Someone posted the beginnings of a script, kinda just an automated copy from here paste to here thing, but since we dont know how Gaijin’s save file structure is set up, we cant actually write a script for it.
And Gaijin wont be sharing that, even if they would lets us do the work of writing the script for them.
Given the progress/purchase loss requirement of the current transfer system, and how they are manually copying info from our accounts to make it happen, my guess is our game info is mixed together in some kind of jumble rather than being separated out by game in some kind of logical format.

this forum is kinda dead i wont lie

True but tbf waiting for 2+ years is quite long (although I’ve been stuck in this limbo for way less time)

Is it possible to get the content creators onboard to appeal to Gajin like they recently did on all the slop and decline of the game? Has the approach already been tried and failed? Anyone know how to get any of them to hear our issue and support it?

they just wont care

Youtubers won’t care, because in their eyes it doesn’t affect them, even thougn it does. Less marketplace diversity if you don’t let the thousands of console players change to PC

Considering how console players are seen by a lot of them, yeah no not happening.

Well seeing as this issue is dead in the water, from public opinion, is it worth starting a new account for marketplace access? I’d essentially be splitting my progress between 2 accounts, one for Marketplace access, and the other being my level 100, life-long account.

Absolutely not.
You seriously want to give the people who stuck, and continue to hold, your account in this limbo even more money?

Also, you would have to get Gaijin’s permission to make more than one account. It is in the games TOS and here on the forum aswell.

I might be coping at this point, but the request pages are still in the support website, even if closed, and they haven’t straight up closed this thread yet, so it must be coming sometime, right?

…right?
