Transfer of console-created accounts suspended until further notice

Your username is just a bunch of jumbled numbers and letters. As I have seen in this thread, it suggests that they are doing the transfer. Just wait, don’t mess with your account until they say it’s done.

@gromvoiny I didn’t realize that I had to title it unlinking Xbox account I wrote Transfer my xbox account to PC as the title is that ok?

I can still access my account on xbox

Depends on what you mean by “started”. The reply from support that your request was passed on only means you were put at the end of the line with few thousand other tickets about transfers.

The actual process starts once we check that your account is eligible (see above about people not verifying email, not spending GE etc). Then, once you confirm that you’re ready and understand the conditions, it takes a couple of days (excluding weekends).

The transfer process was started on Wednesday when i saw the message on the support website but since then my account has been locked and i cant access the ticket nor have had anything about it.

By started i mean the actual transfer of the account, not just the enquiry was started.

its been 17 days, i am starting to think that they wont respond to my ticket

As @gromvoiny has said, there are thousands of tickets. Just be patient. You’ve raised it, it’s in their system, I’m sure they’ll get to you when they can. I’m in the same position.

How long is this supposed to take? I sent my request in February 4th and I got a response that essentially said it has forwarded the Information to the right team, that was Feb 6th, I haven’t gotten a response since.

Same situation, I sent req on 7th feb, forwarded, no updates the ticket still shows as “Open”.

Hello. I got a mail saying "The account was successfully unlinked, please reset your password via this link: " and on top of the mail it says " Your request “Unlinking PSN account” has been assigned a status “Solved” and in case of 96 hours of inactivity in the ticket, it will be closed. " Am I good to go now? I went ahead and changed the password hopefully that doesn’t create problems

When did you open the request? Did it went good? any problems?

@gromvoiny If i may ask. How did they rework the system for the unlinking. Is it automated now? I remember you said it was time consuming for the developers.

I assume they do it manually since it takes such a long time for everyone

Update for everyone that wonder how long it will takes, My ticket is submitted on 1st February and they started the unlinking process on the 21st. So it takes roughly 3 weeks for me

Sounds pretty conclusive that the process is complete. Looks like you’re good to go!

The technical process itself is mostly automated now and is like 10 times faster. But that is for accounts that are 100% ready and marked for transfer. The bottleneck really is the people who are not reading the instructions, asking the same questions over and over again, taking time to reply about their readiness, which in turn means they are prolonging the wait for other users down the line.
