Transfer of console-created accounts suspended until further notice

The dev has already stated they arent working on this at all.
They would rather spend their time making copy/paste vehicles to sell than have one or two people spend a week writing a script to automate this process.

Shouldn’t we keep this thread alive? At least they continue to understand that it’s something we want (I know they know but they don’t want to)

We totally should, even if it only annoys them.

They clearly understand we want it.
But they dont care. The devs would rather spend their time pandering to the newer players than improve their game for their long time players.

What most people dont understand about this is people with linked accounts are outright prevented from playing some other Gaijin games, and while we can play others (Star Conflict and Cross Out for example) IF we ever get our accounts unlinked we will lose all of our progress and purchases in those games.

Gaijin knows those of us here waiting for this “service” would gladly be giving them more money, they just dont care.

We should do something big so they realize how important this is

Trouble is if anything gets too “rowdy” here the devs will just have the mods start banning people without warning.

I remember the problem with the other games, in fact the first time I tried Enlisted, I was like “why can’t I play a game with the account with which I play their other game?”
I tought a lot of times Riot was the worst when comes to decision, but at least they get back on their steps and try to fix the bs they made listenting to the community, while the snail no, and it’s very disappointing

Whats ur discord?

I dont know why they do It in seasons basically, but im trying to transfer since i start playing on PC, six months ago. Bring back account transfer gaijin

Because while the process to link your account is automated, the unlinking process never was. They literally had a dude manually copying data to unlink the accounts.
And its been that way for years, Gaijin could have at any time automated the unlinking but they choose not to.

Its not that hard to make it automatic i imagine, they probably would have to invest some money to make it happen but the amount they would receive in the longe run would easilly cover the costs. At least is what i suppose, i dk nothing about how it works

and they see that and they are like “Its going to cost too much, and cost us too much time” even if it is better in the long run

They could literally use Chat GPT to do most of the work for them, for free.
And given how many years this has been an issue, there isnt an excuse any more.

missed revenue will cost them more in the “long run”

How will it cost them? If the current population on console players get access to the marketplace we will be able to buy more skins vehicles etc, this would MAKE them money not cost them

As far as I am aware they will never enable full access to the market place for consoles.

" 1. ### Can I buy items here if I’m a PlayStation or Xbox user?

In this store, you can only purchase Golden Eagles for a PlayStation or Xbox account. The vehicle packs and bundles are available only for Windows, Mac and Linux users. If you are a PlayStation/Xbox player - you have to make such purchases from the PlayStation Store/Microsoft Store."

I apologize if this is incorrect but google and forum search yield no results for market place ever coming to console.

There are discussions about it though:

I believe he meant that by not transferring accounts that would cost them.

And you are right as well, we are all willing to give Gaijin more money, but Gaijin is refusing to take it.

so then, what should we do? this can’t go on for too long as there are more people joining the game from xbox wanting to transfer. The only reason we have this many players when they reopen it is only because they don’t keep it open longer…

That is the question isnt it.
Unfortunately, given the “quality” of moderation that goes on here all we can do is politely annoy the devs.
Also unfortunately, the devs rarely check here. And I say “devs” very loosely as Ive only ever seen 1 posting comments in this thread, and he only shows up once or twice every 3 to 4 months.

Going off of how the devs/mods/game masters have responded here, and in other threads, they just plain dont care.
Going off of how Gaijin as a company has been treating warthunder over the last few years keeping the appearance of a “fully” cross platform game is worth more to them than keeping long term customers.

The reason they cant keep it “open” is due to Gaijin’s laziness. They werent willing to work with the console companies to make a true cross platform game, my guess is Gaijin wasnt willing to share profits from its marketplace and werent willing to change their predatory loot boxes, so instead they created the account transfer thing to make it seem that people could keep playing their accounts even after getting rid of their consoles.
Gaijin obviously knew there was going to be a demand for it, so they took the time to automate the initial account “linking”.
But they must have gotten distracted before automating the “unlinking”.
And now that there are too many kids playing with their parents credit cards, Gaijin is perpetually distracted making the next shiny thing to sell.

Its so easy to see this. Especially since we are long term customers.
But for whatever reason companies are not ran with any thought towards keeping customers long term anymore.
Gaijin just like all the others is only concerned with sales they can make right now.
