Tracking/aiming axis control

I have recently attempted to make the move from Xbox to PC regarding War Thunder. However, in doing so I have come across an unexpected issue: the tracking/aiming axis function is not available on PC, even if you are using controller.
This has been a problem for me - and many others, as it turns out - who have become accustomed to using controller on the console version, or just don’t enjoy M&K, and attempt to move to the PC version on controller. The lack of tracking makes using controller on PC feel clunky and disadvantaged to the point of no longer being viable or enjoyable to play, and causes PC players to complain about console having a “competitive advantage”, as I have discovered as I was combing the internet for a solution to the problem.
I, for example, have just given up on the PC version due to being unable to find controls that give me the feel in the game that I enjoy, and I know that I am not alone.
I understand that this is in an attempt to balance M&K PC, and controller only console players, but it can also be seen to disadvantage anyone who prefers the feel of a controller if they play on PC. Additionally, having played on M&K when I first started War Thunder prior to moving to Xbox, I can say that the main advantages the tracking gives on console is the ability to snap to and track erratically moving targets quickly, which M&K can do manually anyway. This gives traction to the idea that the addition of aim tracking to PC would not give M&K an unfair advantage over console players.
Therefore, I would like to ask if this feature could be recommended to the developers to be added equally on all platforms. This would allow players like myself to move more freely between console and PC, and PC players to feel they are on a level playing field with console.
