That too. Everything seems to block the radar beam and only if you have a target completely revealed to the radar it appears and can be tracked.
Seems like the bug report managers can’t say it isn’t a bug, otherwise they already would have put the “not a bug” tag on it. They are very fast to reply to things that aren’t bugs, ironically.
Let’s hope Gaijin doesn’t delay much more fixing the Khrizantema. For a vehicle that used to be the best ATGM carrier, it fell off too hard.
I saw a bug report accepted over a year ago about Khrizantema-S radar not folding and its still not fixed.

I might also make a bug report about that machinegun and 3rd crew member missing, I saw one guy bug report mg not working but that was it.
One year and no fix lol, despite being recognized as a bug.
If you have enough evidence, then it is good to make a bug report on the issue. I will try to search for info on the radar, to find if in irl it has those issues trying to detect targets through leaves and bushes, maybe even I should make a video on it.
I mean the evidence is right there, machine gun modeled from the outside and also 3 hatches there wouldn’t be 1 more hatch with optics then.
Oh, I see. Definitely there space for a MG and a third crewman. It would help massively with the survivability.
I found some interesting things, though I don’t think it is enough for a bug report.
In the video below, you will see at 2:51 that the narrator mentions Дождь, which is rain. On a translator it appeared that the Khrizantema can effectively target things even through rain, which is impressive considering it has a milimeter wave radar, because EM waves with this wavelength can reflect even on water droplets of clouds.
On this article I found mention to what band the “1L32-1”, the Khrizantema’s radar, works. Between 100-150GHz, which means a wavelength of 3-2 milimeters, small enough to reflect on rain drops, which lead me to guess that it can track targets through leaves and bushes if they aren’t too dense.
I saw in the bug reports that some guy said it should be able to detect targets behind trees, I only read the title I never actually checked if he had any sources.
I tested the Khrizantema and it seems that with some bushes, what happen it that the RCS of the seen target is diminished. The problem is that it isn’t with all bushes and trees. With some small ones, like this below it is completely hidden:
Small bush
I aligned both the gunner sight and the radar, so we may be able to see what the radar “sees”
There the leopard that the radar should be detecting
What the radar actually sees.
And no detection, tho barely there are leaves in front of the antenna.
On the bush that did reduce the RCS of the target but one still could find it:
correct bush
in the unobstructed view, the target appears big on the radar
With the tree starting to enter in the radar beam’s path, the target that appears on the radar doesn’t disappear suddenly, but has a reduced RCS.
Only in the center of the tree the target is completely obscured to the radar beam.
Other thing is that if the center where the target lock appears is hid, you can’t lock a target even if the antenna can get reflection from its turret or from other parts. It doesn’t make sense considering that the RCS can be obscured by leaves.
