I was using Tow 2A’s, and I fired one at a Gepard, and it tracked the Gepard instead of my mouse, and when I checked the replay it said my Tow 2A as using a seeker, is this normal? The missile didn’t seem to move with my mouse and followed the Gepard instead.
Nice sight.
Also, no i don’t think it’s normal if it was actually tracking the Gepard. The TOW platform doesn’t use a seeker iirc
Idk was SRC means, but maybe it just has to do with the wire guided aspect of the missile and it isn’t a cause for alarm.
must be short for “Search”
can you send the link to the replay, if you dont know how can you go in game and send the ID of the replay? you can find it at the replay scoreboard before you view it
Never seen anything like that, no though.
TOW (Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided) have never had a ‘seeker’ per-se. TOW have an optical tracking unit that watch the IR spectrum flare on the back of the missile, which in response to the movement received from the flare, sends maneuvering instructions to the missile through the wires.
In the BGM-71 series, no service models have ever been self guiding. I’ve never seen a bug like that with a Search/Acquire warning with them.
