I can’t tell if this is realistic or arcade battles but regardless torpedoes behave the same in both gamemodes,
It has a huge “Hey I’m here” tracer and if you don’t train your eyes or your own crew to help you detect those it’s your entire fault, because they’re easy to evade,
If you sail in one single direction without changing path it’s not the torpedoes that are broken is your knowledge that is poor.
They’re extremely easy to detect in Arcade, which, given his stats and previous comment history, I think he is playing. He has about 10x kills in AB compared to RB.
This is just not true. Torpedoes in arcade travel at triple the rb speed for their first 4 km of travel. Gradually slow down over the next 4 km until eventually going the same speed as RB torps only after 8km of travel.
Doesn’t mean that torps need nerfing though, they used to travel at triple the RB speed for their full travel distance. But the performance of long lances caused the nerf to their current state.
Used the field this when using “Fletcher Pratt” naval rules fighting across the floor of large halls with ship models - or cardboard cutouts when we didn’t have them! :)
