Torpedo needs to be nerfed

Why does torpedo get speed boost and in-ship reload in the game (when conventional guns does not)?

It doesn’t help most torpedo users love to abuse their overly long spawn “protection”.

On a extra note, I had an excellent game in which I wiped out enemy coastal team with just two M802, but was cut short by a Torpedo abuser.

I can’t tell if this is realistic or arcade battles but regardless torpedoes behave the same in both gamemodes,

It has a huge “Hey I’m here” tracer and if you don’t train your eyes or your own crew to help you detect those it’s your entire fault, because they’re easy to evade,

If you sail in one single direction without changing path it’s not the torpedoes that are broken is your knowledge that is poor.

They’re extremely easy to detect in Arcade, which, given his stats and previous comment history, I think he is playing. He has about 10x kills in AB compared to RB.

Reloads off cap points are only in AB

Translation: “This thing killed me, I want it nerfed”

Seems to be his mantra

This is just not true. Torpedoes in arcade travel at triple the rb speed for their first 4 km of travel. Gradually slow down over the next 4 km until eventually going the same speed as RB torps only after 8km of travel.

Doesn’t mean that torps need nerfing though, they used to travel at triple the RB speed for their full travel distance. But the performance of long lances caused the nerf to their current state.

you should see “players” just spamming pt-811 at general direction in top tier ship AB, then you’ll know what I’m talking about

That applies to open maps though. They can’t do much at maps with island cover.

It got pretty good torpedoes which should kill even ship with best antitorp protection ever built.

thing killed me therefore it should be nerfed

I never knew that using Topedo in Patrol-Torpedo boat is abusing torpedo :/

I wonder what OP will do when Gaijin adds a bluewater ship, which can torpedo him with a 40 Type 93 ‘Long-Lance’ oxygen torpedo at once.

Used the field this when using “Fletcher Pratt” naval rules fighting across the floor of large halls with ship models - or cardboard cutouts when we didn’t have them! :)
