I don’t know. I made report that has been accepted, so i cannot do nothing more but wait. I just forwarded the info smin gave me by pm out of courtesy.
It seems we are leaving this update dry, I’ll try and fill in the rest of the problems on the list with current bug reports or create new ones.
If anyone finds something new about the A200C or any other tornado share it here and I’ll add it to the list.
Hopefully we can just force them into facing the problem
@Smin1080p_WT Hey Smin, the update dropped but there are no changes to the Tornado ret.8. Should we assume that the Boz will never arrive?
Hello
The devs unfortunately had to prioritise some other things with the major update. But it has not been forgotten and is planned to come.
@Smin1080p_WT Thanks, one more thing – would it be possible to fix the NATO tricolor camouflage on modern Italian tanks? These are camouflages that are paid for with GE, and after a year they’re still incorrect: the green is wrong, even though it used to be accurate. (bug reports accepted). Since they are paid content, I think it’s only fair to correct them out of respect for the customers. Apologies for the off-topic
Yet another new bug!
JDAM ER and LJDAM ER show up in the research tab, yet they aren’t available in the load out menu. I’m pretty sure the devs got so lazy they just copy pasted the JDAM research module to every plane.
Sorry for the bad quality, my screenshot function was not working
@SoyBeanInhaler
We might have the possibility of getting a new weapon for the MLU.
From one of the latest articles published by The Avionist, this document was mentioned. I do not know if You have it, but if that is not the case, it could be worth looking for it, as it mentions that Paveway 4 was bought for tornado. I think that it should be enought for make a report.
I assume these would go on the ret 8?
Yep
Regarding the quoted article, the Paveway IV warhead RWM make is actually little different to the normal Mk.82/Mk.82-EP warheads currently produced by RWM. The Paveway IV is considered an all-up weapon rather than a kit for Mk.82.
The warhead is the same aerodynamic shape as Mk.82, but PWIV’s base fuze well is smaller than the standard Mk.82 fuze well because the UK’s Aurora fuze has a smaller diameter than the usual 3-inch fuze on Mk.80 series bombs.
The Insensitive Munition design is also a little different to the RWM Mk.82-EP, as the PWIV warhead has cook-off vents through both the nose and base plugs, where the EP warhead is vented from the base plug and arming well. The PWIV warhead doesn’t have an arming well (and associated charge tubes) since it’s not needed for modern digital/programmable fuze designs, and PWIV is only designed for one type of fuze.
Unless Italy really needs the improved hard-target penetration capabilities I’m not really sure why they’re going for PWIV rather than a GBU-49 with a Mk.82-EP warhead and FBM-21 fuze same as France use. Apart from the fact all aspects of PWIV are already fully certified for Typhoon and F-35B, and can be delivered in to service faster.
It could very likely be, after all such choices were already undertaked in the past. For instance, Italy decided to go with aim9x block II istead of paying for iris-t integration on both F35 fleets.
Yes I also saw this article. I think that they mistyped Typhoon as tornado in this section, but I dont know. I could search aeronautica militare website for the contract but the website is slow for me right now.
The only smart bomb similiar to paveway iv on the A-200C is the Lizard IV, which could easily be confused with paveway IV. Also around the same time of 2022 a logistics contract was signed to renew use of the Lizard on the Tornado (probably extra unused ones from the retire of AMX).
I highly doubt paveway iv is on the tornado, I think the article either confused the name with Typhoon (because the article is about that anyway) or just confused paveway IV with lizard IV.
