Tornado GR.4: Tenacious Tonka

Wow, sounds balanced!

It’s a bit beyond ‘good’, flying over the battlefield at max height throwing missiles knowing you will have 9 kills in the bag is not an exaggeration for Brimstone. The current mode is fine, Pantsir is the issue.

No, the current mode is not fine. The current mode is an absolute joke.

I was hoping for Su 34, but I was also assuming we’d get comparable ordnance for most other trees.

If you want that, then all nations can say ‘oh, can we have our insane tech?’
This is literally unique for Brimstone, and if you ask, Chinese ground could ask for laser suppression, French ground for auto tracking, Soviet and French air will ask for better IRCCM, and many more, this isn’t a bad missile by any stretch of imaginations, its only really beaten by KH38 after all.

Kh 38, Kh 29 (self guided), Agm 65 of any variety. Hell, arguably even the AS30L.

But I’m sure a laser designated missile is adequate for a toptier attacker. Or is it only okay the Yanks and Ruskis have missiles that outrange brimstone whilst not needing the target be lased?

I think the point is, laser only brimstones have equal performance to laser guided agm-65s and laser guided kh-38s.

If those weapon systems aren’t limited to that guidance method then others shouldn’t be either

@Smin1080p_WT can you say if thats all what Germany gets this patch or if there is still WIP stuff which maybe makes it to the current patch?

AS30L even packs a bigger punch, and from what I’ve seen posted comes out to around the same effective range (an issue of itself) in game. On a platform with ARHs and good agility.

Yeah that’s the other side of this. Something like an F-16C can run 2x Aim-9M, 2x Aim-120 and 6x AGM-65Ds that are FnF. (I think that is a possible loadout anyway) That is a lot of performance

I’m not saying it shouldn’t, but currently if added, the only thing that can even resist is Pantsir, and even then, no warning, 9 auto lock missiles? This is not the same, the devs said they are not considering ‘lock on after launch’.

That is the case. And those are self guided, I was just sticking to another toptier laser designated missile. But yeah, if we actually consider ordnance carried alongside it then the brimstones are even more a joke.

AGM65s are slow and the damage is cruel, like I’ve had 3 hitting an Abrams and not managing a kill, even Tongusk can eat one sometimes.

No one is asking for the auto lock. Just asking for Brimstones to be given essentially a C&P seeker from the AGM-65 with an IR seeker.

Yes its fake, but it balances them better. Failing that, maybe a buffed IOG so there is 0 drift. Meaning they can be used almost like GPS guided weapons

Oh boy, do I have news for you about how Brimstone’s looking to pan out in both departments.

And the same is true of hellfires. Which these will basically be the same, but will leave you far more vulnerable.

Before they were even announced I was expecting 2x per target at a minimum

If they don’t make them hit harder, I’d wager the ripple fire wouldn’t even be an issue.

Gaijin broke the Hellfire code so many times to the point that the top attack is basically useless unless you manually guide it in. And there’s no reason to expect the Brimstone to do anything otherwise when the dev/live server hits

Yes. Short answer, thus why they have Pantsir and KH38s.

Well, glad you outed your position without me having to put much effort in. Usually you fellows are at least half good at pretending to be an unbiased party.
