Tornado ASSTA 1, IDS 1995 and GR 1 BR difference to WTD61, Marineflieger and IDS

Why are the Tornado ASSTA 1, the IDS 1995 and the GR 1 a higher ARB BR than the WTD61, the Marineflieger and the IDS? The only difference are GBUs and the targeting pod. In ARB there is no performance difference to justify the .4 BR difference. Are there any differences I’m not aware of?

Nope, they’re all the same exact plane except the guided bombs, they should be lowered in ARB

If they were balanced by statistics then the Marineflieger should also go to 11.7 because it has an even higher win rate than the assta. Vehicles are balanced by statistics and I get why but the same vehicle under a different name should have the same br. (Assta, Marineflieger and WTD61 are the same plane in ARB)

No one knows.

Gaijin tried to claim something about the 11.7s having higher efficiency and thus at a higher BR but it made no sense. They should all be the same BR.

Out of all of them, the weakest is probably the GR1. It has weaker engines but this is partially mitigated with slightly larger bombs

Can the GR1 still release bombs at Mach 1.1? I know they changed it because the German tornados are now limited to Mach 1.

No, not anymore, but this is a flat change to all aircraft

That makes all tornados even worse because they have to fight with f4s for the bases

Yeah… ARB is not an ideal gamemode for them. Which is why i’ve swapped to basically exclusively playing them in ASB. There is always something to bomb and IRL tactics for the Tornado are highly effective

I get what they are saying but that’s no explanation why the 11.7 tornados stay there and the 11.3 tornados stay at 11.3.

Yeah, for all intent and purposes, they are 100% identical aircraft, therefore they should have 100% identical effeciency. and yet… here we are.

There is hope that maybe they’ll give the 11.7s a reason to be at 11.7 such as Aim-9Li for an IRCCM missiles or even just BOL for extra CMs

Aim 9Li would be great or just give Britain and Germany the GR4 and the SLE with IRIS T and ASRAAM.

Tornado Gr4 is rumoured to be coming this major update. But im doubting ASRAAM, likely Aim-9M. ASRAAM could still be way too strong for the game and force it to an uncomfortable BR where that advantage is totally mitigated.

I think I would personally prefer a BR of around 12.0 for it which would mean Aim-9Ms not ASRAAM. But it would also have extra strengths like MAWS (Via an external pod) and the BOL.

If the leaks are true and the GR4 is coming this update and the SLE is not coming I’m getting the Bison and grinding for the GR4. The tornados may be a testbed for more advanced IR missiles like the su25bm for the r735

Tornado Gr4 is what Id guess would be the first ASRAAM carrier in game (or the Jaguar GR3A) , and I could see it getting them in the future, but I think it might… be too soon at the moment.

Yeah, there has been no word on the ASSTA3 / SLE except for a carefully dodged comment about Tornados like the new italian one being added seperately to others. So im doubting its coming. I think the GR4 will primarily be testing mmV seekers via the Brimstones ahead of possibly seeing more mmV seekers added such as the AGM-114L

And the SLE was passed to the Devs. Put that doesn’t mean anything. The GR4 would me crazy in GB with Brimstones.

Yeah, it would give me a reason to actually play top tier GRB with Britain, at the moment, there is no reason to play the CR2s over the CR1s which are universally better/more balanced at their respective BR.

But even just in ASB, the ability to wipe out convoys would be fun.

Pantsir is simply just too good, I mostly trade with them whenever I play the ASSTA.
