No VT-4 for the next major update is already confirmed. We need to lay this to rest. There will be no Chinese vehicle entering the Thai subtree in September.

If that is the issue then please relay these to your respective communities. Otherwise, the VT-4 should not be unilaterally disbarred from ever appearing because of political concerns which threaten fair THAI representation.

We never said Japan shouldn’t get the Thai sub-tree — we’re only talking about one specific vehicle in it that involves sensitive issues. The Finnish sub-tree going to Sweden wasn’t timed around dates that trigger historical wounds, nor did it carry any symbolic provocation. The VT-4 news, on the other hand, is being released at a highly sensitive time, which most Chinese players see as a provocation.

Also, Sweden–Russia relations today are nowhere near as long-term tense and highly sensitive as China–Japan relations are. The two cases are not comparable.

And while similar situations might happen in real life, this is a game — it should be actively avoiding such risks, not running headfirst into them.

In any case, the devs can choose whether to add this vehicle, and Chinese players can choose whether to play this game — it depends on whether you still want the Chinese market.

The VT4 tank, like other Chinese vehicles to be purchased in the future, is merely one of the vehicles procured by the Thai Army. It should rightfully belong to its country of origin, just like Germany’s Leopard 2 PL, rather than being assigned to Japan. Moreover, what justifies sending Chinese-made vehicles to Japan? Simply because Japan has a subsidiary line within the Thai Army?

You overlooked one point: The authorities had attempted to add Chinese tanks to the Japan TT around the anniversary of the Chinese victory over the Japanese invaders. This was regarded as a provocation by Chinese players.
